Souffs only had one less win than us so heading into this game couldn’t have been doing too bad

Man I wish they streamed JF games. atleast one of our grades is doing ok

Really? I’ve always thought Flegg was kind of a stuck in the mud grade. All the talented kids from SG Ball will play off the season in Flegg then play reserves from there

I’ve always been under the impression if you’re playing longer than a season in flegg, you haven’t got it

I tend to agree regarding the Flegg as a whole.
But for the West Tigers this is the first grade where our juniors come together. Sure some of the extremely talented SG Ball players can be elevated to cup for their particular development but I feel having a strong Flegg side is what helps bind the juniors and provides the depth and growth to our cup side but not necessarily to the NRL but that is what is the benefit of strong pathways is building your depth for first grade.
 
A mate of mine whos a diehard bunny's supporter (I try not to hold it against him) was at the game and said he couldn't believe how aggressive we were especially in the wet weather. He said our forwards dominated theirs early and leading from the front was our No. 8 (Faagutu according to NSWRL) in defence and attack before he was taken out by a hip drop from one of the Souths players. Our back 5 helped out a lot with tough carries out of our half getting good metres. Big Herman was dangerous within 10m and our edges in Vaihu and Tumeth were wreaking havoc to their edges. He also said he couldn't believe Willett was still a kid as he looked like a giant out there and we were right to keep targeting him with the high ball all game.

Does anyone know how Faagutu pulled up after the hip drop he copped?

It would be hard not to look good compared to our KOE team,they are putrid
