Yeah I would say that is a pretty fair assessment. I'm not sure about Matai as he always shows something at Flegg, but hasn't been able to make the same leaps ahead in Cup when given opportunities. Still only young and if he is Flegg eligible another year there won't hurt.![]()

Highlights from Jersey Flegg are up. Doesn't tell the whole story but a few moments reinforced a few things ...
- Bailey Hodges has a very good passing game from dummy-half.
- Max Taotua looks a great 19yo prospect on the wing - speed & size.
- Max Liles & Iverson Matai look a good attacking halves pairing. I hope we can retain both of them in Flegg next season as top agers. I think Matai is a slow-burn. Whilst he's no Latu Fainu, if he can keep improving his defence, he will be a good backup 5/8 in a couple of years.
- Jared Haywood has class!
- Chris Faagutu is a class above Flegg. If he can add a bit more strength, power & bulk in the off/pre-season, no reason why he couldn't play some NRL next year.
@Tigers_Wests do you agree?
Large in the centres with Makasini both playing on left edge.Can anyone who’s at the ground provide updates?
