We need him more as a big, strong and fast centre and he fits the bill. We need to use the talents they have and his pace like Large is blistering and what we need to compete with the stronger sides and capitalise on breaks.
I wouldn't say Makasini has blistering speed. He has decent speed but not elite speed. Looking at Casey Maclean from Penrith for example he is also a big young centre and a year older than Haemasi. Casey ran 11.01 last year at GPS for the 100 behind Onitoni's 10.93 (tailwind 1.0) and, while quick, isn't thought of as having elite speed. Haemasi ran a 11.60 (tailwind 2.60). So good speed but definitely not elite

What would you say are their approximate height & weight at the moment ?

So not Elite ( not claimed by me ) or Blistering but decent speed.....OK !

If I ran 11.6 and was built for league as he is, I would say Blistering like I did but you have your opinion and I will have mine. He would be quicker than what we have so I hope he chooses to stay with WT

I ran 11.6 in my final year of high school. That was one of the toughest 50 metre sprints ever.

We’ve named a strong lineup for this game. I would’ve had Canaan over Tavana though at fb
Yeah a bit tough on Kanaan. He looked great when I saw him play. Great to see Large and Makasini named again for what is most likely Flegg's last game of the season. If finals format remains a top 5 fixture, we need Manly, Eels and Sharks all to lose, along with us winning.

I saw the race, was in the lead until about 65m from
memory and got run down. He was a head tall and
foot wider than the rest of the field too. His speed
and explosiveness from that frame is unreal (17yo)

I believe it is a top 8 format the same as the NRL for the 2024 Jersey Flegg competition.
Can anyone confirm if this is correct ?
Also does anyone know what players will qualify for the finals, do they have the play a certain number of games in Jersey Flegg or is it basically anyone that qualifies by age that have not played a certain quota of NRL games ?

According to this article it's a top 5 unfortunately. So fingers crossed the 3 teams above them all get beat

I don’t think Manly will beat the dogs, Eels and Sharks have been just as inconsistent as us so those are up for grabs. I say we’d need to put a beating on the Silktails and sharks to lose to have a chance

Pretty absurd to think Flegg has a top 5 after playing 25 rounds and 14 clubs, when the NRL had 50% of the comp making the finals. Good enough for the men but not the kids?
I think it’s the length of the season / finals that comes into question. We made it last year. It can be done
