Once again no intel, this is a possible Flegg trial team for tomorrow at Leichhardt. Based on the 2025 squad minus those playing up in NRL trial or in SG Ball comp.

1 Creedance Kelly-Donovan (from Qld comp, highly rated wing/fullback)
2 Te Heremia-Tukere
3 Fangavalu Hammond
4 Roy Quiroz-Mapasua
5 Brendan Naicori
6 Jon Ibrahim
7 Iverson Matai
13 Archie Riley
12 Nehemiah Wautai-Davis
11 Elijah Pettit-Young
10 Jekope Sovau
9 Josese Lanyon (James from Harold Matts big bro)
8 Tom Fisher
Interchange from Jack Burrows, Kian Edmed, Ryan Polsen, Heith Pritchard, Jeremiah Leatigaga, Levi Conti

Great job in Flegg so far over last years premiers the Dogs. Also why are there no conversions after the try’s scored? Is that normal in Flegg? I rarely get a chance to watch it.

Sovau is a beast (number 16 who scored a try). Got some ball playing skills for a big man too!

Really liking the look of the 6 and the fullback in 29. Not sure of their names.

Game plan is simple. Win the middle, overpower the opposition and play off the back of it. The boys are doing it well! Lots of linespeed, physicality and intent in attack and defence.

Well a draw in a trial game isn’t the worst result I guess. At least it’s technically not a loss, but there are some things to work on.

It was a typical trial with little tj no structure, but a few individuals look like they can help contribute well throughout the season.
Someone else mentioned the Wests Tigers number 6 and I agree he looked to have some quality about him. I also liked our number 10, probably needed a little more involvement, but he looked to be the alpha on the field.

Similar thoughts to you & @Tigers_Wests thought Jekope Sovau really stood out for us, big, powerful & skillful. Noted 10 & 6 as well and thought Kian Edmed defended strongly.

How many guys are to come back into this team?
Good question Tucker, plenty of JF eligible players in the Cup & NRL trial. I guess depends if the club sees a better development for them in Ron Massey Cup or Jersey Flegg.

Maybe a Lachlan Broederlow if he misses out on NSW Cup, may be better served in Massey against bigger bodies. Whilst a Will Craig hasn't yet killed it at Flegg level so Flegg might be best for him.

I only got to watch 10mins of our Flegg game, it was enough to again convince me we have something good in Mitch Taotua.
Far from the polished product, but he could be the destructive right edge back rower we are looking for.
For those watching the full game, I’ll be very interested in your comments on how he goes for the rest of the game ?
