Just some more musings after watching the Flegg & Cup games today about the potential of our young guys.

Fullback - Logan Deininger is class, ideally to keep developing as fullback in Flegg next season.

Winger - Tino Tavana won't be eligible for Flegg next year but regardless I'd love to see him move up into the Cup system fulltime next year.

Centre - Max Taotua will still be eligible for Flegg next year but I reckon should be given the opportunity to push for a NSW Cup spot from Round 1 pending NRL top 30 drop backs, is physically ready.

Centre - Krystian Mapalangi has that touch of class/quality about him, be good to see him getting consistent reps in the centres in Cup next year and push for NRL.

5/8 - Heath Mason, leave him at 5/8 to develop for a while.

Other halves - Iverson Matai & Max Liles will not be eligible for Flegg next year. Just don't think their games will cut it yet for NSW Cup especially defensively. If we retain one, it'll be like what we did with Eiden Ackland who plays mainly Ron Massey. Javon Andrews will jump both.

Lock - Josese Lanyon, hopefully straight into NSW Cup system next year and rotates with Charlie Murray & Tristan Hope as a lock/hooker utility.

2nd Row - Solomone Saukuru, should be given first crack at NSW Cup left edge next season and hopefully owns it and can taste the NRL.

2nd Row - Pheonix Godinet, like Deininger just work on his game in Flegg and push up into Cup later in the season if his form warrants & spot becomes available.

Props - Peter Taa'teo & Kit Laulilii have a lot to offer and plenty of development. Hopefully become one of the best prop pairings in Cup next year. Let them earn NRL selection.

Prop - Taupau-Moors, see Godinet above.

Hooker - Haywood, just quality but needs to work on his body as any 19yo hooker would to handle the middle defensively. Ideal Flegg captain next year and then managed game time in Cup through the season to maybe build for an NRL debut off the bench later in the season.

Others - Mitch Taotua & Lachie Broederlow have quality about them but prone to errors & poor defensive reads. Not sold yet. Broederlow is on a Dev contract and I do like the transition of him to the middle - doubt he'd get a dev deal at any other club though so we may have prematurely evaluated lol

Late developer - Really like what Leni Plati has brought this past 3 months, leg speed, impact, contact. He's a nuggety type but can see him as a late bloomer so hopefully the club sees something there.
Can't argue with anything you have written there. All over it as always @BlackWhiteGold! I really hope that all the names mentioned above get that NRL pre season to further their development.

Leni Plati has definitely flown under the radar.
He makes an impact and is highly aggressive, a trait that is getting harder and harder to find these days.

Our record with keeping good/decent coaches is terrible,i certainly hope that the powers that be are taking a good long look at the coaching at this level as he seems to be developing players extremely well and hopefully he gets more and better opportunities with our club.No more "jobs for the boys"
Didn't they promote him this year? That would suggest the powers that be are aware of him

Thoughts on Sakuru for next year? Needs a big offseason fitness wise I suspect. I believe too old for Flegg.
There's a lot of Luciano leilua about him. That's not a much on him, but he's a big boy with a lot of power, more speed and agility than Lucy though. Yes fitness and application are his issues, his defence has improved in recent weeks, but he still mentally switches off. That's fixable though. We need to extend him for another couple of years now. He and godinet are the best back row prospects we've had since Dwyer.
