Good to see Ethan Roberts playing today. But looks like our ex Man Mountain Jordan Miller is playing for the Slimes!

Without seeing the game, a 30-4 loss is very disappointing and I'd say easily the biggest loss since Sultana took over.

A bit surprised to hear @wstigers11 that our backs sucked. Logan and Xavier have generally been very good, Taotua pretty good too.

I don’t think our forwards were too good either to be honest.
The Eels forwards were regularly making plenty of ground with each carry and we struggled to make ground out of our own half.
Our wingers struggled and Max Taotua was again very disappointing.
Logan Brookes and Jarrod Haywood both showed glimpses of their class in what was a difficult day for them to shine, Phoenix Godinet and Christian Taupau-Moors had some good moments as did XavierTauaifaiga.
Jeremiah Leatigaga and Heath Pritchard tried hard as they always do, but the rest of them were mostly outclassed, outmuscled and had a day to forget.

Disappointing loss but one those games where not much went our way!

As TW mentioned, Partch had a partly terrible partly unlucky game. He knocked on our 1st touch of the ball, made a defensive decision to jam in when he didn't need to in their 1st try, was beaten 1-on-1 for strength in their 2nd try and twice looked to score but was miraculously tackled touch in goal & held up both occasions, any other time he scored. Should I mention brother of Galvin was the touch judge on that side!!!

Aside, our middles were comprehensively overpowered by an Eels middle rotation which would weight more than most NRL prop rotations. The Eels next 3 tries were all scored by being overpowered by middles close to the line.

We had our chances in their red zone but poor hands were costly numerous times + halfback Bailey Smith was very, very poor with his decision making, defence, passing & kicking game!!!

On the positive, Logan Deininger (Brookes) was our best player with a nice try assist pass, incisive runs from the back and for most part safe under kicks and in defence.

Max Taotua was also very good with his yardage runs & some important tackles, while Jared Haywood and Heith Pritchard were also dangerous but not immune from a mistake or 2. Whilst costly with his hands, Xavier Tauafaiga did make some excellent defensive decisions & was strong in contact in defence and Pheonix Godinet had some good moments in attack, looks much better in this grade than SG Ball.

Ethan Roberts had about 30 mins at left backrow and was pretty good albeit a bit rusty in his 1st game back.

Just got to move on quickly from this as I'm confident this team could beat the Eels on another day.

Wingers had their opportunities but just couldn’t execute for tries. Taotua made a few good tackles. On a positive note I agree with V, our NRL boys CTM & Hayward were our best.

Idk what we do with Brookes tbh. Something is there but we just signed Attard.

Lachlan Galvin was there watching too btw lol

Yeah watching his brother as touch judge lol

Agree for most part V just think Max Taotua was good without tearing it up. Made strong runs out of yardage which the team needed today and was good defensively, the area he needs to work on the most.

Just feel he needs time and with that at least another 5kg of muscle to be a dominant tackle-busting centre.
