Great win, with strong games from almost every player.
I thought Hauhulu was outstanding with his high energy and strong yardage carries.
Sooo good! Stayed in the contest after Sharks dominated first 30 mins. Glassie & Biles lifted our energy with superb individual efforts before HT. Then we were a different team in 2nd half. Glassie, what a Flegg debut!

Just wanted to throw this in regarding Wests win over Newtown in KOE on Saturday and get some thoughts on Logan Brookes . For a young guy to step out of Flegg and play as well as he did in his first game of KOE was very promising. I know he spilled a ball early, but his work rate and involvement were great. he certainly didn't look out of place.

Really good resilient win by our Flegg boys yesterday, if only NRL followed suit. We were being beaten in the middle & for yardage for a good 30 mins but the lads stayed strong in defence to limit the damage.

Then up stepped debuting backrower Jack Biles & debuting centre Glassie Glassie with individual plays for tries that lifted our energy and turned things around before HT.

Glassie also pulled off a team-lifting tackle & another strong 20m try using his fend and strength to give us the ascendancy. He was strong generally through the game and would be most watcher's MOM.

Our usual suspects Archie Duncombe & Jared Haywood were excellent once again. But above them I thought Ryder Huth at fullback, Bailey Smith at halfback, Jack Biles & Filipe Huahulu on the wing had stormers.

We didn't lose much without Brookes as Huth was safe & popped up everywhere. Smith controlled the team well and saved us a few times with crucial tackles. And Huahulu has been outstanding since coming up after SG Ball season, a good size winger with speed and aerial ability.

Good to see Riley Oitmann given 10-15 mins at fullback and he demonstrated his speed & acceleration once against tiring middles and almost scored a 40m effort just pulled down short.

Taupau-Moors & Duncombe v big Suli Pole on Saturday.
From the game on the weekend, Duncombe has a high work rate. I thought CTM’s second stint was excellent. He looked big and dominant. I am pleased he can be kept at this level to improve and gain confidence. I would be happy for him to have a full season in JF this year and a full season in cup next year. No need to rush these blokes.
