@TheDaBoss Sounds like another Mitchell Moses and Wests Tigers couldn't control his ego.

We didnt have Madge then, i cant imagine any players dictating terms to him.

I wouldnt take moses back for any money

Make of it what you will but I know John Morris has been in regular contact with him as he was the juniors coach at the Sharks. People I know at the Harks want him back. The destabilisation was not an accident he will end up back at the Sharks. Just a guess but players usually act up to get a release with their destination already organised.

I wouldnt either but i think if Madge was in charge rather than cleary or the scare crow things wouldnt have gotten into such a state with him.

Just like Moses did with Wests Tigers.

He wasn’t Robinson Crusoe at the Tigers Woods/ Tedesco were more liable albeit Moses is easier to despise.

Don't think we need a player that whines about not getting enough ball and thinks he's worth more money when he'd done nothing so far in the game.
Tell your story walking Ramien, you're an average player

Sharks guy I know says there’s discussions going on about a player swap of Capewell for Ramien .

Capewell is off contract anyway. He’s another good player we should look at if we can create cap room. Matterson is the first player chosen every week with a 13 on his back.

Whats Capewell worth on the open market?

I’d say around 400k he’s a handy player.

Heard he's about to re-sign with Cronulla recently. Doubt he will come here.

I doubt anyone is coming here until we release or retire players. I think the Sharks are in the same boat as us they will lose some players.

They have Wade Graham on the left who’s a freak and Nikora on the right. Capewell is a first grader can’t see him staying at the Sharks or the Sharks having money to spend on a bench back rower. They have too many good players.

Never mind we are still going hard as possible this year. Madge has the trust of most fans to get it right.

I still remember when people on this forum wouldnt take wade Graham because he was injured we are a crazy bunch.
I take ramien in a heartbeat i take Caldwell in a heart beat, both are better then what we have even though what we have is fighting tooth and nail and i respect them all

I have heard the same, but Cronulla already cant fit 3 centres in to first grade, how the hell can they fit 4 in to first grade next year, they are becoming another easts

Morris has another year left I believe and they want to move Dugan on. Ramien would be a long term deal back with his junior coach. Agree rosters seem to be very uneven given there is supposed a salary cap.

I’d say around 400k he’s a handy player.

I can't imagine he'd be getting that much at this point in time given his defensive issues. He'd likely have a decent amount of interest at around the $250K+ mark given his value as a utility but the kind of teams that might be interested (like us, the Sharks and the Knights) have very little cap space so I can't see him commanding a lot more...

Minimum contract value is 100k or so. Based on a roster of say 30 players at 300k (9m cap) would be the average player salary.
250k would be good business given we paid 650k for Packer and 750k for Reynolds.

I'm not knocking him as a player it's just that any player is only going to get what the market can afford to pay and his likely market doesn't have a lot of cap space to play with...Yeah $250K would be good value for him and if he came on the market at the right time when a couple of clubs with cap space wanted him as a starting 2nd rower he could probably get up to $ 400K.
