Really good to see the positive comments.
Looking forward to see him back it up again next week against some weaker competition

He went pretty well today ..
got more smarts than Brooks and a kicking game

I like madden I think he has a big future! I don’t believe he’s a 5/8 though. I think he will make a great half back! U could see him barking at the others !! Good young prospect IMO

He certainly looks like a first grader. His kicking was great and he was confident at the line. I think he was playing halfback today, I think Madge gets confused with numbers sometimes, he seems to like switching around the front rowers numbers constantly.

I think Madge gets confused getting to the right ground on game day. Let alone selections , the pressure has got to him , this team has broken him, unfortunately

Jock had a good game today against a top shelf team next week against the Bulldogs he will need to back it up and more to be a contender next year

If some of you guys on here understand what Madge is building with these young guys, you can see whats coming next year...
1 D.Laurie
2Noffa
3 T talau/AJ
4 AD
5 KM
6 Madden
7 BRooks

9 JL/TS

The game today showed all and sundry what this club is leading up to...

Good on Hartigan and Madge for copping the criticism and carrying on with the plan for the future of the great WTs....

If the plan is to look worse at the end of the year than we did in a trial then Madge has been a raging success.
Young talent needs guidance and direction that Madge can't provide.

Once again your entitled to your opinion....post your NRL coaching resume so we can prove you are better than Madge...you seem to be very judgemental and 2022 isnt here yet...

So that's where you're setting the bar.....the coach has to have a better resume than Dwight Schrute.
I can see why you're content with the coach now.

He is the right cia h. He’s inherited all the salary cap problems and we’re finally in a position to buy. Plus, he’s putting the systems in place to retain the juniors. Don’t get me started.

People who don’t like Madge are knobs.

Oh yeah.

You are.

And my dad could beat your dad in a fight.

Thanks Dwight.

I reckon you are an anti vaxxer.

Vaxx is very GOOD.
Vaxx is very NICE.
Eat your beets and get your vaxx.

Some on here just have absolutely no patience or football knowledge

When you consistently make childish and belligerent statement like this to others that don’t share your point of view, I’m surprised you don’t get more downvotes.

Its opinion based mate...yet you will upvote a post that degrades the coach who is trying his best to give young blokes a chance and establish a culture that is far from the rotten one we have had for ten years....
go ahead mate and downvote until your hearts content....

I thought Madden did ok today, especially given his lack of match fitness and experience. I’m saying you have a problem with your communication and frankly very little credibility with me based on your obvious lack of objectivity. That’s my opinion.

You have your opinion ,but when you quote my post in future ...post the lot so it doesnt conveniently support your claim...

""some on here have absolutely no patience or football knowledge ON WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN NRL PLAYER...
the bold is what you seemed to leave out to suit your response ...have another go Tbone...

That doesn’t support your argument at all. I didn’t quote the entire comment for brevity (to avoid stinking up the airwaves). It was literally two comments above. People have eyes. The omitted part doesn’t change the substance of my comment to you

I don’t consider this having a go; it’s pretty clear to me this means a lot more to you than it does to me so I’ll try to explain for your benefit. Just calling you out for your the regular barbed comments you make on a daily basis to all users. It’s remarkable that someone who says it’s all just opinion quickly flips when others have a different opinion he/she doesn’t like.

I respect and can appreciate posts that are well thought out I try to be agile if facts and circumstances change. I do however find many of your comments are built on a weak foundation of one or more logic fallacies, which is the very genesis of this discussion we are having. Surely someone who espouses the value of opinion so freely such as yourself can see this is not “having a go” and not be so defensive of another person’s opinion.

I thought Jock had a great game against the panthers (which is tough). He has a good kicking game and running game. It was good to have a half run into the line unlike Brooks.

I'm going to pay homage to Sheens to welcome him home.

13 Hastings
9 Brooks
7 Jock
6 Daine or Someone
3 Doueihi
1 Someone or Daine

14 Simpkin or Liddle

And just in case you agree with the above, Nofo at prop.

Thought Jock went well first up against tough opposition and especially so considering how little footy he has had.

Next week should inform the club and all of us a lot more and hopefully that edge holds up similarly in defence again which is most important.

Daine Laurie might be that player at 6 that could compliment Madden. You could progress Dillon but that is just forward thinking. It is nothing practical at this stage.

Madden is much worse than Brooks.

Madden has had 1 x 80 minute NRL game against the best halves in the NRL and did little wrong. Needs a lot of work yes, but he showed promise. You are comparing him to 150+ game veteran, really. I would not expect Madden to be better than Brooks at this stage of Madden’s career.

Sorry, not comparing current Madden to Brooks.

Just IMO, what Madden could potentially be will not be close to what Brooks is as a player.

My opinion is that he's not the guy to replace Brooks. That's all.

Honestly a genuine flop of a year, which we cop to see if the next crop have it, is better than what we are facing. If 2022 is going to be defined by the usual "experienced" players we will still fail and be another year behind in rebuild #36.

Say whatever you like T bone....everyone is entitled to an opinion...in this instance, people have been quick to demand Madge be sacked because of results this year...
IN MY OPINION they are not being fair to what Madge is trying to do ie give the young guys a chance, which he has,re develop the pathways that the club has ignored for years, buy players to compliment the young guys and when a decent MARQUEE type comes along buy him...
My comment on "the football knowledge to become an NRL player "is justified because its hard work, time, pain and patience,it doesnt happen overnight..
So if you think I speak down to people and have a superior opinion than others ....you couldnt be further from the truth...I base my opinion on what I see,the results are poor, the team is mostly young and immature for NRL level yet...but Madge is doing his best with what he has and is trying to make this club a better club than what it has been....if you think I deserve a downvote for my input...then feel free.....

I don't get caught up on numbers. Madden is at 7 because he is an organiser. Doueihi with his size and mobility is a far more effective 13 than our other options. He will need to work on his defence and fitness.

Yes this makes a lot of sense and Doueihi needs to in the 13 but just too slow for me in the 6 and thinks runs 1st

Exactly….all these Madden knockers ….WTF are they basing their opinion on? He’s hardly had a chance to shine with COVID interruptions and he was the halfback of the Ron Massey cup team that was killing it earlier in the year…. With the deadwood the first grade team has carried all year, game after dogged game after dogged game, humiliation after disappointment week in week out with so called big name marquee players embarrassing the club at milestone games all year and yet the people on here are willing to write Madden off based on WHAT? Seriously what are some of you people on? Did people not see Mbye with his stunt routine efforts of not putting his body on the line but looking exciting while doing it? Can you people not see it? But you keep saying Mbye gives good service or is a good utility when it’s crap? He has cattted it all year for us but Madden has desire and would -play his heart out to build a career in first grade…. You really do my head in,,, like really what game are some of you people watching?
