Yep, Walters says he is still in his 2021 plans.

“Despite reports the Broncos were looking to offload his rich salary, Jack Bird remains in new coach Kevin Walters' plans for 2021.”

Idk this just feels like it’s not going the same way as when we signed Roberts, or AD and BJ last year. No reason, just a feeling. Doesn’t feel like this one is going to happen. I just hope the stumbling block wasn’t us not wanting to stump up more than we are prepared to pay. Would much rather the Broncos not wanting to release him, period.

Im sure it’s a negotiation tactic from Broncos, they know we are desperate for him as we struggle to attract top tier players and have the Aloiai drama to deal with. Difference with Bird is he is physically busted, Joe is more of a behavioural issue.

Read into it as you will however it isn't screaming a bloke keen to move on. Be stoked to see him in Tigers colours though it seems it's far from a certainty.

He's not going to say "back at training, can't wait to get out of this place". Until he's signed elsewhere he's doing what you'd expect a member of the club would do.

Josh Aloiai loved WT a month ago. I've learned not to buy into it too much any more.

This situation reeks of The Pom or some other insider coming on and saying “We had him. He agreed to sign, but the Broncos were just not willing to meet our price for what they had to pay”. You know it’s coming.

So why is he in pre season training with the Donkeys, seems a bit silly to me could do an ACL or anything. I would say still some hoops to jump through otherwise it makes absolutely no sense.

Listened to Walters this morning , he made it clear that OJ and lodge would be staying with the donkeys .
