Interesting question - if I'd asked you 6 or 12 months ago about swapping Joe O for Josh A, would you have said yea or nay?

Prior to Broncos 2020 debacle I would have been all for it. Which says, for me, Joe O has proven potential and just needs to get back to good football. Aloiai has been gradually improving over time but Joe O's best football is way better than anything Aloiai has achieved to date.

Agreed and I also think Aloiai looked good in an underperforming pack. Let’s see him standout with likes of Marty and Jake in the team. He may well go the way big Ava, Jesse and to a lesser extent Woodsy.

he had Fifita and Haas getting most of the carries and his wife was also battling cancer so that's one way he's performance could have been effected.

Offa on his day can outplay any forward. Big motor too..like the pick ip alot.

Look back since he has started ...Thaiday ...Gillett ...Fifita .....Jaydn Sua ...Essesse......Arrow ...ordinary ....lol

It's quality right. I don't know. I'm not sold on this signing. I hope it works out for us.

People are going to expect his signing as a pack leader like Josh was in 2020 ......he isn't that man ....sorry ...If Aloiai was a qlder he would of got chosen ahead of Joe O in 2019

I think you'll find the reason Jo O didn't look good is he struggles laterally and the new game caught him out ...as we have seen your D starts from your middle 3rd and Brisbane's D was shocking ...but from the history of this Forum we've seen people never blame players ...blame the coach .....the board

People expecting Jo O to lead our forward pack ...don't blame Jo O ...remember to blame the people who signed him

That's because even though we criticize the club at times, when it comes to the crunch we're mostly loyal supporters.

When Josh showed his disloyalty and total disrespect for the jersey he was always going to cop hell, and deservedly so.

Not arguing that ...but it didn't make him a crap footballer did it ....just a crap person


If a few could drop the hate for 5 minutes they'd remember Aloiai is a better footballer than Jo O and if we are losing him we should be getting someone better than him

Just remember only 2 sides have shown interest in Jo O ....Saints and Us

If we keep downgrading our players we will end up as continual spoon favourites

You can't hide behind the 2020 Broncos season and use it as an excuse ...players who play SOO take the next step ..he has gone dramatically backwards ...forward leaders (which many are calling him ) show up every week ...Like Haas did

We are a tough bunch to please. Again we sign a player who has played origin is young and has had an off year.
People know the term buy low sell high year.
I love nofo he is a freak but right now is the worst time to neg a new contract with him as he has had a career year.

Been a ex agrade coach , when putting a team together my 1st thought always was I need a forward pack that will hold there own at the very least . After that a need a 1/2 back who can lead the team around the park and implement my game plan . Followed by a good fullback who can talk and organise the defence line , other than that sometimes u have to make do with what u have , so let’s face it we don’t have the 1st thing on my list , a dominant pack , so until Madge can get a mongrel pack we ain’t going anywhere .


The pack is looking better than last season at least.
Musgrove was good if he stays on the park.
Blore should be better after a preseason.
Tamou - Welcome addition
Leilua L - Our best player should improve
Stefano - Needs game time but out to prove himself

MIKAELE - Playing for a contract in 2021
Garner - Needs to improve D, Attack solid.
TWAL - Not great should improve
Liddle - Full Pre-season for a change.
Simpkin - Should get some game time

So overall i think our pack is better than last year and i am not including ALOIAI as won't be around.

There's some talent there. What concerns me is the lack of experience and NRL weathering.

For example:
Simpkins: Yet to play NRL
Blore: 125 mins of NRL experience
Stefano: 24 mins of NRL experience
Liddle: Played 180 mins all year. Missed a lot of matches over the years
Musgrove: Played 180 mins all year. His last game before that was 2017


Good point but also maybe based upon limited game time i assume most will be ripping in this off season to earn a spot which might mean all the forwards raise there level?

I hope so mate. If they can get up to speed and we get some luck with injuries, there are some guys in that pack that can do some damage.

He has been overlooked many times
So I wouldn't judge his decision to let him go as a good decision
Lodge was the form front rower last year
All the commentators were gloating about him

This year is not a good indication of Ofahengaues ability
They all struggled
I would suggest there were alot of internal problems at the Broncos that we didn't hear about
Ofahengaue and others need to make way so Walters can put his own little spin in the team
