For al the BJ haters why dont you stop and think that maybe he needed a wake up call and got it by Madge..
The other thing most didnt notice is how BJ,Mbye Joe O and Tamou got around the young players and especially Cini to show support and courage to them...
the younger players played with far more intensity and confidence this week than prior...
Let Madge do his work in the next couple of years and watch this team play finals on more than one occasion...

Madge stopped just short of calling BJ unfit in the press conference

Talau charged by MRC, 2 weeks or 1 week with early guilty plea, so he will be playing again at least the next few weeks

What was the charge for?

lame shoulder charge on their try

I saw it, and thought he will get a suspension, nothing in it, more just lazy from Talau, he actually looked bemused when the ref told him he was on report

Imagine growing up next door to these brothers. Afternoon footy at the park would have been terrifying.

I grew up playing cricket with 2 guys, one played Sheffield Shield for NSW and an a UK county and the other was better but never pursued it. I thought I was useless and never bothered playing grade. (edit: removed inappropriate word. Apologies for the error, thanks @Tigerboy)

He was decent. A couple of poor defensive misses. Would not take up his option on big $$, but would offer him a contract at a lot less

who goes in for talau... please not MCK
please Mmbye to centre and Liddle to bench

Mbye in the centres makes the most sense. He's a good defender and yeah, I think Liddle comes on to the bench. Only other option is Cini in the centres and defensively with a new winger outside him it'd be too big a risk.

Wow people won't give him any credit. He had a very good game. For me, apart from his try, the most telling involvement was in the Cini try. Watching the replay, he runs a great angled line so that 1) he's inside Douhei and avoids an obstruction call and 2) creates the space that results in the try.
He looked keen and interested.

He was ecstatic at the end of the game. He wanted the win.

Let's hope he prefers meat pies to Opporto from now on.

I'd be happy of he get 2 meat pies every game day

My perception was that Lucy seemed to have extra energy when he saw his brother score.
The look he gave BJ was interesting. It was like a relieved but knowing look, which was different to the reaction the other players gave.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But I think if both brothers are in a good place mentally, we are team that will surprise people in the weeks ahead.

No, on reflection I don't think it is. I removed it.

He looked very happy to score, almost relieved. Hopefully he's happy to be back playing first grade and works hard to keep his spot through good performances.

If we use BJ more often like that ... give him some early ball with room to move outside he'll make more runs over the opposition centres .. use him correctly close to line having players in motion .. Doueihi / Brooks with the ball .. say Laurie coming back against run then popping the ball wide to BJ he'll score more often .. !!

With Talau out .. is JTJ available or is this PEC muscle issue more serious than reported .. ?? If JTJ is out, Mbye to centres, Liddle to the bench.

Jimmy out for a month, which is a good thing I think
