Right now I doubt he will start before round 4
It’s becoming a very costly transfer let’s really hope we get the Raiders Bateman and not the ESL version or this will be a total dud over priced signing. Know he is here for more than 1 season but he has missed all preseason prep which almost takes out this season (we have seen that with other players alot).

you can't apply for a work visa without a signed contract of employment, which happened after christmas.

His potential arrival is in the hands of a government department and it's visa application processes. One that has improved immensely over the past year or so, particularly staffing wise, though still not great.

Such process could not begin prior to an employment agreement/contract being finalised, which also relied upon a deal being done with his former employer before that as well. So couldn't be done any earlier than that.

Relax, he will be here soon enough.
