Luciano is very average. He's a terrible defender, low on fitness and only really offers attacking threat when on the front foot. Madge got decent use out of him, cowboys were rid of him after a year or so and dragons signed him to a stupid contract. I am so glad Luciano is not at our club and Bateman is a much better player than him.

Bateman should be a way better player... I haven't seen it from him this year. I really haven't.

Yes I would rather spend the money elsewhere. Just forward options seem to be really thin. Matthew Lodge?
Perhaps we should have made a huge punt for Angus C when he was on the nose with Easts.

Take it for what its worth but a little birdy has told me he wants to stay with Burgess but also wants his money. I think you will find we have to pay an amount for him to stay and play. He doesn't want back because he is keen.

I say call his bluff and tell him "we look forward to seeing you on Nov 1"....then watch him ask for a contract release.
