Josh Reynolds is unplayable at 9

He's decent in the halves but he is so messy at 9, both in attack and defense. His loose tackling was awful, playing significant part in quick play the balls and gaps in the defensive line to setup two of their tries and our attack was a mess when he came in. I don't think he should be the utility off the bench and he's not as good as either Brooks or Benji. Honestly, ET is better at 9. Back to getting dropped in my opinion.

Totally agree, and that's saying a lot because I think ET should have retired 3 yrs ago, but he'd do better than Jrey at 9.
Jrey just like Benji and Brooks are either 6 or 7 or 18

I agree he is unplayable at 9 but we don't have other options at the moment. Except I think we are better with him and Brooks in the halves as a combo then Benji - I'd have Benji on the bench and playing 9 when he comes on next week and Reynolds starting

MBye is a 14 when we get the right players elsewhere. No point getting rid of him and paying $400K, because you wont get a decent replacement for the leftover money.

Mbye is also a first grade quality centre and hooker and probably in the halves as well. If he could catch the footy he'd also be a first grade quality fullback.

The problem is that he is paid too much but you are correct in that there is no point off-loading him and paying that additional money anyway.

Reynolds is in a similar position but he offers a huge amount less than Mbye.

I agree with @tonza on this one. Sounds like a perfect first grade quality 14. If he keeps showing the passion and goal kicking ability from yesterday every week then it's likely a different conversation.

Once Grant is fit I'd have Liddle on the bench with Packer (who can't play more than 2 x 15 min stints), Blore and Mikaele. JRey is not in my best 17- Yes, he is enthusiastic, but just does not offer any real skills in any area. As for enthusiasm, honestly every player should have that - and in the top 6 teams they do!
Comparing Reynolds and Benji as footballers, even now at 35 yrs old Benji is miles ahead. Benji had a hand in most of our tries today, even playing injured for half the game and his D was mostly solid, until he got injured and Dogs capitalised on his immobility. Sorry but Reynolds simply can't provide the attack or playmaking that Benji can, and his D can be just as poor as Benji's has been at times.

Reynolds needs to be in the squad somewhere.
I would never had said that at the start of the year.
He runs the ball,or he passes early.very basic,but BJ always looks dangerous when Reynolds is on.
Benji can’t be in this squad.his defence is killing us.
