Lol, these guys were having a sook about signing Tetevano but standing by Josh?

The guys a repeat offender.

Judgement set aside, It looks & feels like a curated leak and will almost certainly strengthen the prosecutions case at his pending trial. More than enough grounds to stand him down, it has nothing to do with the 'current climate' or anything of that nature. Like Celtic guy said, you can get charged for verbal abuse & harrassment for DV

It will be interesting to see how long before WT put a statement up on the website. It usually takes a little time to wordsmith it, pass it by legal and then pass it by the NRL but if it takes too long it's not a good look. Will also be interesting to see whether he's stood down.

Why would he be stood down? He swore at someone...Fox catches players swearing in the games all the time.

Swearing in your own home is not a sackable offence.

This woke revolution is getting out of hand.

That is intimidation, she is clearly scared and he threatens to 'flip'. That is domestic violence.

I guess it's subjective. She doesn't sound scared to me. He asked her to leave? Why didn't she if she was so intimidated? It was an invitation to go freely.

I'll go on record and say I've told a women to "get out of my house or else I'll get really angry". Same thing as "flip" in my opinion.

If that's the new and broadened definition of domestic violence, I guess I'm guilty of domestic violence and intimidation then.

Please. I'm the last person you'd accuse of being "woke". Besides woke is a term you use to criticise someone when you don't know the correct words to use. I'm only asking whether he'll be stood down not saying he should be.

Sorry mate...I wasn't accusing you of being woke.

I was saying that it's sad, in general, that our minds go immediately to the possibility of sacking a guy for something so small if a woman is involved.

Apologies if it came across the wrong way.

No worries @weststigers. I agree with your general proposition. We're all good mate.

I should stress I haven’t seen the video and really don’t want or need to see it. But, if it’s as reported earlier in this thread I can’t see how the alleged behaviour frees up $750k or whatever JR is on per season. The behaviour as reported is crass and boorish but not criminal in its own right. The other matter before the courts could potentially result in a criminal conviction. Happy to hear I’m wrong but I can’t see how we’re $750k better off at this point.

Agree... stupidity rules the NRL. He may not ever play another game for us but we’ll still be paying his salary that entire time. Thanks Iv... thx a lot

No his contract would be null and void.

Why did it take the Dragons so long to get Cap relief for De Bellend....

It depends what path the Club take...

Wests tigers would have to terminate his contract for that...given the official statements after both incidents they look to be sticking by Reynolds for now

The dog was talking sign language and the girl was just translating.

Not defending Josh.

Just strongly against the BS hysteria, for someone to see that tape and suggest it's all over when this gets out - and this wasn't just that smoking gun muppet, is just bizarre. I'm not the type to react like JR did in that video, but I, as well as anyone who has had a relationship with a woman, promise you that that would not be an uncommon occurrence between couples.

It might be all over for him, but it's not because of the tape. It's because he had actually done something illegal.

It's a very bad look for someone waiting to front court on domestic violence charges. Domestic violence can be as much verbal as physical and some of the language used was very threatening.

Neither the club or the NRL can tolerate this.

100% right mate...

Looks like he was set up to me
Did the camera set itself up and start recording by itself
Or did someone set the scene
Something also set Josh off
So what was it ?
No one knows but the two or 3 people in the room
I think 3 because someone filming and someone in bed
Anyway none of us should pass judgment just yet
Non of us know what actually happened

The ravens stood by rice until video released. Different sports I know BUT there’s words and accusations then there’s video. And that isn’t a good look. All it’s gonna take is a main sponsor to say get rid of him or we walk.

However tigers need to take a stand on moral ground here. I suspect he will be stood down at some point in the near future, especially if there’s more footage

Posts from Foxsports deleted this matter is before the courts ...

You can read them there ....

Then proceeds to defend josh. ??

What's the deal with filming people, without their consent, and releasing it to the public? If it's a criminal matter, refer it to the police only. Extraordinarily vindictive and a sad indictment on some aspects of our modern world.

I could pick any regular decent human being and choose to record them at their worst moment, and it wouldn't look good by any measure, but it wouldn't necessarily be indicative of their overall personality or behaviour.

Ezekiel Elliot got stood down without footage

If by that delete screen from Emily is true, what right did that woman have filming Josh while he had his own phone down to his Twig n Biscuits?

Tbh, how many wouldn’t react to being secretly filmed while naked in a bathroom..
