I should stress I haven’t seen the video and really don’t want or need to see it. But, if it’s as reported earlier in this thread I can’t see how the alleged behaviour frees up $750k or whatever JR is on per season. The behaviour as reported is crass and boorish but not criminal in its own right. The other matter before the courts could potentially result in a criminal conviction. Happy to hear I’m wrong but I can’t see how we’re $750k better off at this point.

Agree... stupidity rules the NRL. He may not ever play another game for us but we’ll still be paying his salary that entire time. Thanks Iv... thx a lot

No his contract would be null and void.

Why did it take the Dragons so long to get Cap relief for De Bellend....

It depends what path the Club take...

Wests tigers would have to terminate his contract for that...given the official statements after both incidents they look to be sticking by Reynolds for now

The ravens stood by rice until video released. Different sports I know BUT there’s words and accusations then there’s video. And that isn’t a good look. All it’s gonna take is a main sponsor to say get rid of him or we walk.

However tigers need to take a stand on moral ground here. I suspect he will be stood down at some point in the near future, especially if there’s more footage

Rice knocked his girl out with a sucker punch. Bit different.

Our CEO is head of a major law firm. So far WT is standing by Josh. Does that indicate anything to you?

Pascoe is also head of a major law firm? Is there anything the man can’t do?

Avoid suspension?

And they were standing by him until video surfaced which was my point.

Wow. This video is garbage. Someone’s out for a payday.

Exactly. There is literally nothing to see in that video. It's a personal argument and it could be taken completely out of context. It looks like a set-up that didn't work.

Looks like he was set up to me
Did the camera set itself up and start recording by itself
Or did someone set the scene
Something also set Josh off
So what was it ?
No one knows but the two or 3 people in the room
I think 3 because someone filming and someone in bed
Anyway none of us should pass judgment just yet
Non of us know what actually happened

Regardless of a “set up” or “being recorded” do you think the behaviour is appropriate? Also you would think being recorded would of slowed him down a bit and just walk out of the room. But it didn’t.

What's the deal with filming people, without their consent, and releasing it to the public? If it's a criminal matter, refer it to the police only. Extraordinarily vindictive and a sad indictment on some aspects of our modern world.

I could pick any regular decent human being and choose to record them at their worst moment, and it wouldn't look good by any measure, but it wouldn't necessarily be indicative of their overall personality or behaviour.

Exactly. I'm disgusted by this occurring and the guy coping it.

Follow @emilymaylawson on twitter. She’s going off. Making some huge accusations against the club now

If she didn’t voluntarily leave and he asked her at any point previous to the recording your point is null. He may be an NRL player but what she did would still be constituting provocation, please...

Must have been taken down. Either way, these leaks will help/harm one of their cases.

Apparently it was the house they shared. This incident was before the DV incident later on
