Junior Reps 2022

A lot of our Wests boys (Laulili'i brothers, Solomome Saukuru, Da Silva, Galvin, Craig, Leatigaga, Waqa) got a big win for Westsfield Sports High 54 to 8 over Endeavour Sports High yesterday. Should place them 2nd in their pool and into the quarter finals.

What a CHAMPION for keeping us in the loop ,
pps we need more of this positive stuff on here.
most people read this, especially our young up and comers.

Dudley Dotoi played for Bowen reserve grade (it is the highest grade that club has) yesterday. Scored a try playing on the wing. First game with them this year by the looks. Maybe he copped an injury with Camden Rams before heading back (seeing as he hasn't appeared in previous weeks)? Just guessing though.

Bizarre.

We really seem to have no idea what we're doing with the boys we sign from Queensland.

Same as Trey Peni last year then we thought Covid may have played a role there but it seems our plan for developing our elite juniors is to have them not play a competitive match for 9 months

Yeah strange. You feel next year will need to be massive for Dotoi and Hill in Flegg if they are still with us. Some exposure this year would have been beneficial. Chris Faagutu joins next year too.... let's hope he is progressed similar to Matamua. Sheens always says "If you're good enough, you're old enough".

Ok here is what u do

Say ur a prop

Head to training/a practice match

Get on the field

First touch of the ball, no matter where u are do a chip and chase

Final step is then to get a multimillion dollar 4 year contract with tigers

To easy

Would be disappointing to lose Young. A hard running ball playing lock. Yes we have Matamua but not sure we have other prospects there.
Lauliili will have to improve, he's captain of the matts side so a crucial piece of keeping that squad together. But not sure he's an agile ball playing lock. More prop/second row. Same as Faagatu.

Many of our juniors played in NRL Schoolboys Cup quarter finals today. Westfields SHS won 28 to 16 (plenty of boys in this team from Wests team) and Patrician Brothers Fairfield won 30 to 10 (Jordan Miller and Tajh Colquhon). Move onto semis and now come up against each other next week.

Holy Cross had a few Balmain boys, but they lost today and Chris Faagutu's team got beaten in the QLD Cup semi final today.

Don’t want be a party pooper, bro
but have a look at the odds of an American kid becoming a NFL player ?
Im not sure of the latest figures,
but now divide those figures by 10 and we might find answer/figure of what it might take here in Oz for the NRL hopefuls chances of making it based on population.
Dont forget we ain’t the only team.

WOULD LOVE SOME RESEARCH.

Love your work.👍

Monster effort from Westfields as they were down 16-0 just before half time and played a chunk of the game without their halfback Galvin due to injury (ended up coming back on). Da Silva and Kit Laulili were 2 of the best players on the field.

Looks like Patrician Brothers won with Colquhoun kicking the winning field goal in the last minute following a strong run from Jordan Miller.
