This shot of Sheens running the play
really warmed the cockels. He needs
that. Someone to back him. Going
to have a breakout year I feel.

He looks to be one of those players who has that quality about him and fingers crossed he develops into one of the centres we have been searching for at WTs.

He may do good under Sheens and hopefully he does but the next few years are crucial.

I'm the eternal optimist. Every year I say these players are going to do good only to eat my words.
Last season I said Peach and Gildart are going to add something to our team 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
However this team Sheens has put together will finally do something.
Put it this way....I cannot see any other forward pack steamrolling ours.
Most of our boys have played at the elite level and you dont get to that level by sitting on your hands and our backs will benefit from a pack holding their own... we'll do alright 👍

Sure but thats always the case for kids.

Coaching structures, physical readiness and development planning to their skillset is often more crucial.

Under Madge any attacking style player had no hope for success.

That’s normally me but last year really took it out of me. Our recruiting has been key for me to have some form of optimism but we need to see the new structures & players run their course. It’s why I think this year is a building combos etc year and 24 is more the gauge as to our progress. Very rare does a new coach & roster overhaul like we have (same for bulldogs) gets alot of success the 1st coaching year. Bateman & RLWC with shortened pre season will be interesting how we go early,

He's worth keeping alright. His issues last year came down to self doubt. His positives were there to see. He's got all the tools to be a star.

Big difference this year Cobar is we have a proper coach who will have an attacking mindset and we will have as you said a forward pack that will not get rolled by other teams

TBH he is a junior and I would prefer to see him rectify his flaws and make his contract worth it. Just can’t see it.

him from left center to right center
and fullback to the wings every
other week. Will be much more
