Justin Matamua #259

As much as I hate the fact we have no success lately I am all for giving our young cubs a go as we have nothing left in this years comp , so we may as well watch the young talent develop, would we be seeing these debutants if there was no change in the coaching position?

As well as they both went , it does not take away the fact we need two more gun forwards, the kids will have off days and we need depth, but pole looked like he had been doing this all year.
I think if Blore can get a break with injury he will be a star also and along with IP will form a strong second row next year. Matamua and Pole went well and the experience will be invaluable for 2023.

I watched the Jersey Flegg last night and they have better structure than both KOE and First Grade and work for each other in Defence. Hoping they can make the step up.Tuki Simpkins played and for someone with FG experience he was not dominant. The centre Saukuru has some great footwork and pace which is promising.

I noticed he was #259. I also noticed Zac Hosking who debuted for the Broncos yesterday was #282. That means, the Broncos, who were around for over a decade before the JV formed have only had 23 more first graders than us.

Plenty of nuffies in our first grade player list let me tell you....
Storm been around 2 years longer and have less
- 3 x 300 gamers helped that.

Reckon the Dragons are at a similar number to us.... a few less I believe.
