Kelma Tuilagi Signs With Manly

have been a fan of the club for 44yrs,,hand out the endo;s ,
51yrs for me, still maturing.
Well you mentioned the drugs, just had them so off to bed I go, Targin better than endone, same thing but longer lasting.😴

Can’t have been that happy, took off without even seeking an extension with the club…
And went looking for a run at a club that had bought about 2 mill worth of back rowers (not including him) on top of what they already had…
The outcome is as expected - he barely gets a run!!
Extension was negotiated - contract printed but not signed off by Pascoe before he took leave!

Learn your facts!!

Sam was literally not receiving any income for weeks waiting for it to executed and back-paid!

He is a gentleman & was not happy at the time but bit his tongue for long enough - so he welcomed a lifeline from the Titans when Hartigan - Pascoe etc had dropped the ball!

He was very settled in Ryde and not planning to move!

Try fentanyl if you really want a long long sleep.......

Just write a note for your loved ones!

Allergic to it, gives me hallucinations.
After 15 major surgeries I have become an expert in pain killing medications.
The obvious pitfalls with taking opioids is addiction and if taken too often they become ineffective.
The trick is to hold off from any meds before the op and after only take them when pain in intense.
Also to stop taking then as soon as possible.
I'm lucky that I've never been addicted to them.
I think the reason I'm good at doing this is because in the Army you could go weeks out in the field where you couldn't smoke or drink alcohol so when it was time to stop drinking or smoking I was able to go cold turkey as they say and stop. No problems.
I haven't smoked for 3 years now and the smell of it actually makes me ill 😒
The main thing with serious operations is to get enough quality sleep so at the moment I have long lasting meds 2 hours before bedtime, but I'll only be doing this prob for another 3 days or so. Ice is better than meds during the day, 👍

Fair Play, I wasn't there....

But he was announced Mid-November, And as you've stated, stopped getting paid at the end of October.
Seems a hell of a lot to have happened in 2 weeks for him to have agreed to terms and then negotiated and announced with another club and gone...

As I said, I wasn't there...
How much of a lifeline was he given? He's barely been sighted since.

I liked Sam, He was here a good while, and one of the only development players that debuted. He also went to another level in first grade...
I wish him well, But he was Ill advised to go to the Titans after they'd just signed Fifita and Tino - Already having Proctor, Peachey etc...

Not many options opening up when you're in QCup most weeks.

Mikaele has no brains. Good runner of the ball, but that's about where it finishes. Poor hands, no awareness and lazy in defence.

Dolphins 2023.
I'm so peeved with how our forwards hit it up.
These days forwards are running off flat balls from dummy half. That ok to catch a retreating defense out but not as a shock factor.
Big TM should get deeper and charge at the defense ala Martin Lang, The Chief, even jnr Pearce [snaller bloke] run at the defense with gusto.
You don't have to be big to run hard at the defense and attract defenders, bend the line.
The fact the TM is a beast is a bonus.
Get back further, run onto the ball [catch it 😁] and throw yourself at the line, get those big tree trunks pumping just before contact and keep pumping those legs like Jason T and Fafita

Do our club care enough to get him to do a backflip? Tedesco was a once in a generation type player who the club would go to those lengths to try and get to backflip. I doubt Tuilagi is that type of player. And the reality is for everyone mourning this loss, he could have been easily retained if the club/Sheens rated him that highly, but they obviously didn’t. He’s not irreplaceable.

Backflip rule has been almost eradicated. The cooling off period is only 2 weeks now I believe...
Previously they had a dogs age to change their mind... DCE and Teddy Killed it.

For the first time in years Im actually fine with the second row for ‘23. You can’t have two guns, you need a balanced squad. If we can have Pap with someone who is serviceable, even someone like Garner, that’s fine imo. We need to sign a centre, before targeting another back rower.
Really man, Parra have Lane, Kaufusi, Matterson, Brown to compliment Papa.... And they're not a top 4 side.
Penrith had Yeo, Kikau, Martin, Capewell to win the comp. I would argue that we needed to keep Luch, And add another better than average back rower when we signed Papalii,

We're short as shite....

100%

I do not understand when we release a player why we don't have already signed at least the same/better player at that position? Some proactivity would be nice, not just our often woeful reactions!
The assumption, with a player like Hoffman being released, is that he took up a guaranteed spot on the 30, due to completing his development deal. The club is obligated. Over the course of that development deal, if they don't see the potential in him anymore, they're stuck with having to promote him, lest another team take him off their hands. Enter Bulldogs with Hoffman.

The advantages are two-fold; with a new spot open, they can strengthen an area that has developed as a weakness (2nd row possibly) either from within or externally, or, they may have a junior talent who has popped up over the off season who they want in the squad and who can only be promoted through the opening of that new slot.

Lack of quality in other positions aside, one or two injuries and we will be getting front rowers and centres to play out wide. It's one thing to be short of quality in positions, it's even more worrying to be short on quantity. We need two first grade quality second rowers and another fringe first grader for 23 if Kelma is gone. Blore is certain to get injured at some point through the season, so that leaves us with two second rowers in Pap and Garner who have reasonable first grade experience. Seyfarth in my mind I prefer as a middle forward, he could play there if required, but even then you lose Pap or Garner and you're stuffed again.

MINIMUM!!

We're shot....

Surely the thread title should be updated to include [rumour]

Tigers are reviewing their offer, but manly have overpaid him. We won't match it, but how close are we willing to go is the question. He'd take a bit less to stay, but not 100-150k less.

Twal style of play is more like a workhorse backrower but because he is a bigger body & we have no quality in the front row stakes he is lumped as a prop. He was having a breakout season at Lock and I think he could be worth a crack in the backrow for us.
Surely you jest. The slowest player in our top 30, and you consider putting him in the second row?

He's a prop. Not even fit to play lock. He's a solid, workhorse prop.

Do I want it to happen - heck no, just trying to work through the reality of how bad a situation we are in unless new recruits come onboard (Kids or external). When he played lock before his injury he was actually decent.

Twal isn't slow, he does have speed issue is he stops at the line to position himself for a quick play the ball which sees him get bent back.
