Ken Maumalo #246

Showing his worth..has strengthened the team after a slowish start to his time at Wests Tigers..

Getting into the dirty stuff more and more.. starting to dominate with his runs ..rarely get pushed back..very safe under the high ball ..a threat in attack and a good a finisher than most wingers in the comp..makes the right decision in D more often than not..

Has the experience ..we need more signings of his calibre ..

Yeah going well. Improving. Obviously not the quickest but good in most areas.

He is extra vital for us as our pack can really struggle to go forward at times. When Stefano/TM went off last night we really struggled to get into their half. There were numerous sets where we were going nowhere about a few tackles and big Ken woudl save us with a 8-13m hit up and get us moving forward.

Big work when we needed it and another classy finish on the wing.
🙌🙌🙌🙌

He's a pro

This is a good comment. You don't feel he has a huge amount of flaws in his game. I bet he is on 1/2 what Nofo is on and he offers more.

He has his strengths and plays to them well.

His 2nd or 3rd game, I remember I was extremely disappointed in his game. Seemed slow, lethargic and disinterested.

He's proven me wrong last 2-3 games. I hope this continues, but let's judge it more when he's put under pressure against half decent teams.

I think also Ken is faster than he appears to be. Being a big tall fellow, he looks like he hasn't wound up yet, but that's just his running style.

He’s great at making metres coming out of our own end and is a classy finisher. Very glad to have him in the side and on a reasonable price as well.

He is slow but geez he has a lot of upside. He catches bombs stopping tries and scoring them. His hit-ups are better than Nofo's and that is the best part of Nofo's game.

Used to be his best part. Been watching some previous years and nofa hasn’t got the carnage he used to have. I think he’s trimmed down to much, he used to be much bigger. Still looks dynamic here and there though.

He’s a gun, needs a quick centre inside him though to make up for his lack of speed…maybe give James Roberts one more crack before seasons end? He might gel well with him, no one seems to gel with Nofa

Watching the replay of the Cowboys game and honestly Maumalo is such a good signing for us. He's actually an aerial weapon. He is so so impressive coming out of our own end. And he just finishes tries. He is such a good signing. He came over flat but he's playing like the Dally M Winger of the Year now and if he carries that through to next year and Nofoaluma can recapture some of his form we might see a special wing pairing into the future.

People still question this guy but that try he scored today was outstanding and most players would of been taken into touch. He also ran 159m against a top team that gives you nothing. He is a lock for wing next few years for me.
