The bloodletting continues at Wests Tigers after the club parted company with National Youth Competition coach Brett Kimmorley.
Kimmorley is part of an exodus that includes NSW Cup coach Paul Fletcher, assistant coach Matt Cameron at least a dozen players in biggest clean-out in the joint-venture club's history. Kimmorley, who played 22 Tests for Australia (including two Super League internationals) and made 10 appearances for the Blues, was considered the ideal tutor to the promising youngsters coming through the ranks. However, he lasted just one season and was a notable absentee at the Tigers' annual grand final luncheon, opting to instead attend a reunion of Newcastle's 1995 NSW reserve grade side.

Head coach Jason Taylor is set to appoint his former Parramatta teammate Paul Stringer into one of the roles, but there is yet to be an announcement on next year's captain following the stand-off with Robbie Farah.
The Tigers are turning over a large percentage of their playing roster, with departees including Keith Galloway, Pat Richards, Matthew Lodge, Keith Lulia, Joel Luani, Kurtis Rowe, Sitaleki Akauola, Brendan Santi, Te Maire Martin, Shannon McDonnell and Jack Buchanan. Several other contracted players, including centre Chris Lawrence, have been told they are free to negotiate with other clubs.
But the most controversial omission from next year's NRL squad is Farah, who has been told he will be playing reserve grade if he isn't able to find a new home for 2016\. The veteran hooker is contracted for the next two seasons and is taking up the best part of $2million during that period. However, he has fallen out with Taylor and the feud was the elephant in the room at Thursday's function at Doltone House. Farah's partner for the event was long-time manager Sam Ayoub, with the pair not engaging with Taylor during the five-hour function. Farah has indicated that he will dig his heels in, with the club obligated to pay out his contract if he doesn't leave. There was no official mention of the war as officials handed out awards, but was still the major talking point for the 600 guests.
James Tedesco took out the player's player gong after an outstanding year that netted him 17 tries in 24 appearances. The fullback, who controversially opted against fulfilling a lucrative contract he had signed to play with Canberra to stay at the joint-venture club, also took out the members' player of the year award.
The event also recognised the induction of two more Wests Tigers life members in Tim Sheens and Brett Hodgson – with the 2005 premiership winners joining Robbie Farah, Benji Marshall, Mark O'Neill and John Skandalis on the illustrious list. Sheens coached the Tigers for 10 seasons, including the 2005 grand final victory, while Hodgson broke numerous club records during his 102-game career stint. Kyle Lovett, who made 21 first-grade appearances, was named the NRL rookie of the year.
Taylor said the Tigers were heading in the right direction.
"Across the team, we had enormous improvement in terms of the experience our guys got," Taylor said.
The event was the first public appearance for new chief executive Justin Pascoe, who shifted from Penrith to replace Grant Mayer.

Fletch has been a loyal coach for the tigers for so long. Good luck to him where ever he may coach next.
Was never sold Kimmorley, I think he had too many media commitments to along with his coaching role.
I think Paul Stringer is decent who coached Wyong Roo's for a few years. Maybe NYC hopefully.
Need to get rid of Reddy and bring in 2-3 decent coaches esp 1 for our halves. I reckon David Penna would of been okay or he can always reach out to Toovey.

Not surprised by this. Kimmorley never felt right. Before he got the job, i always got the impression he didn't like the WT very much anyway. :supporter:

Amongst the important points from the report are;
1\. Lodge and Santi are leaving the club
2\. Taylor and Farah continue to be at opposite poles to each other
3\. Taylor is very much into re-affirming the club's current policies

Two interesting things out of this article.

Some so called 'In the know' people in this forum already had Kimmorley stepping in as Taylor's replacement midway through next year…..FAIL.

And the most interesting part was that Robbie Farah's invited partner for the luncheon was Sam Ayoub. There is only one reason you would do that and I'm afraid that any respect or pride I had in Robbie Farah just went out the window.... That is an epic slap in the face for his supporters who, like me, believe he is professional and mature and could rise above the garbage that has been going on at the club in the last few years. Maybe that exact reason is why the coach is trying to get rid of him.....#childishmove

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. It's his business who comes with him.

I wouldnt call it "childish" I would have looked at it as Robbie making sure he has back up if anything went down. The only thing is, what would have went down?? Who knows why Robbie brought Sam there, only he knows. If I were Robbie, I think if he turned up with his significant other or a lady friend, it would show that he is not feeling any pressure and is relaxed about the whole situation.

Glad to see Kimmorley go. He appeared to regard his media commitments as his main priority. Maybe his heart was in it but it didn't appear that way.

Hmmm…I am not so sure if the #childishmove is deserved just yet. There appears to be something happening at WTs that is escaping us. I am no fan of Noddy (player, media personality or coach) but given the results of the team he coached, his dumping surely can't be performanced based.

By all reports, he had a good relationship with the players and while they had some mixed results which seems to go with the territory in u/20s, the fact is they went to week 2 of the semis.

If it has been JTs call to remove him and the other coaches and players based purely on personalities then I'm afraid his tenure will also be short. In my experience, individuals like that tend to suffer the same fate as the people they have walked and can never understand why.

I feel we will be in the news for sometime yet (for all the wrong reasons).

A manager looking after his client. I am sure the club wants to maintain a good working relationship with Sam Ayoub and were obviously okay with him being at the function. The reality is the club needs Sam Ayoub.

I agree with Swordy. The Farah/Ayoub stunt is puerile game playing. 'Here I am boys and see, I have my minder with me.' It is indicative of real lack of emotional maturity and reminds me of the 'no gate-gate' scandal last year. Cant face up to his issues on his own and needs someone to hold his hand.

Quote Chris: "Robbie making sure he has back up if anything went down." What's going to 'go down' in a room full of people? Plenty of witnesses there if something does happen and Ayoub could hardly be described as an unbiased witness in any case.

What's next? Preseason training with Ayoub on the paddock running alongside Farah in his trackydaks, just in case something goes down? FFS!

My money is that something has already gone down and that's why Farah has been shown the door.

This bloke is beginning to make me cringe.

Why would Farah take his manager to this event ? I think this whole affair is becoming an embarrassment For him to be frank ..the club seems to be up front and open and has not changed its tune . This everywhere Farah goes so does his manage is bizarre ,this was a club event not a business meeting . Looks like next season is going to be a disaster, the club will need another locker installed for Ayoub.

Absolutely it is. If you want to think that Sam Ayoub was invited by Robbie just to enjoy the festivities then that's OK. I have no problem with that.

I see it otherwise.

Had Robbie turned up with a lady friend or any other friend on the planet, he would have come out smelling like roses. Whether true or not the perception will be that he invited Ayoub as a sh** stir. And that, any way you look at it, is childish, silly, and not in keeping with the mayire 'head down bum up' attitude to fighting for his position that he would like us to think is his attitude. Just very poor. As I said, a part of my respect and love for him has gone.

Some people would read something sinister in anything written about Farah. I do not know why he took his manager along to the function but why would it matter.

As for the rest of the article, just a piece of fluff,90% of the players leaving were reserve graders at best,Lodge had his chances and Galloway it was probably time. The coaches,Fletch,he had been around the joint longtime and his results of late were not good, Our attacking coach did not seem to have changed much and basically most of our attack came off the back of Teddy's individual brilliance and Noddy got a pass mark but at the start of the season our u20s were being tipped as the side to beat.

At present our club is a magnet for negative press, Pascoe,Farah and Taylor have to sort this mess out one way or another and get on with building for 2016

I'm not going to join in the Farah bashing. I'll state one thing though there is some bloodletting going on in our club atm.

I hope it stops soon and we can get on with winning games.
