Kimmorley outta here !!!!!

Of course JT is going for the "Power thing". He is the head coach he is in charge. It seems that also the club wanted full time coaches in NSW cup and Under 20s. We want the club to be more professional well letting the FG coach choose his full staff and also fulltime chaches in all grades is what professionalism looks like

lol JT seems to be going all in with this power thing. he fails, we are SCREEWEEEDDD

Seriously…...

This isn't a JT move, it's a club move to have full time dedicated employees to drive a professional culture at the club. Coaches who are just dedicated to the club, player development and success.

Something long overdue and it's a positive step in the right direction.

Kimmorley is a joke being on a coaching staff, but at the same time insisting on a media career as well.

Well why did the club agree to him doing that in the first place. Or didn't they know he also worked in the media??????

Everyone seems to have glossed over the bit in the article about Robbie not being in our NRL squad, this is the big issue, and it will make Taylor look like a goose if it plays out that way.

Give Taylor enough rope and he will do a number on himself.

I am still surprised that Kimmorley gets a gig on Fox Sports, I find him to be a very average commentator. He's not a good speaker and what he says is absolutely banal.

Even Toey Gasnier, the bloke states the obvious, but he's developed a very competent and relaxed camera manner, as has Anasta.

Fox have Warren Smith, Vossy, Brandy, all good at their job, with the rest just making up the numbers.

Can't say I rate Noddy as a coach either, but what would I know?

Agree jirskyr - Noddy is bang average on Fox, and his 'columns' on the FS website are even worse.
TBH they've made some puzzling programming decisions recently. Thought Ryan Phelan was a much better host than Shirvington, who I don't really rate at all.

People are talking about full time coaches for NYC & NSW Cup - the 'report' that Mayer screwed out 2014 season with, ended the coaching stint of Mick Potter and pathed the way for Moss, Taylor & Kimmorley to get a gig at the club actually recommended that no NYC or NSW Cup staff be full-time. This is why Sironen lost his job, and was a big reason why Webster moved on, because WT wouldn't promote him & the Warriors offered him & his offsider a full time gig with the NRL squad.

I see all these movements as Taylor trying to sure up his position by finding scapegoats around the club. Kimmorley was a bog-average coach, a large number of the players hated him, however Fletcher was a hard-working coach that the players loved. In Fletcher's case, he was the perfect coach for NSW Cup - always followed the directions of the NRL coaching staff (think Akouala in the halves) and never complained about losing players to the top grade at the last minute, he just got on with the job. I think he will be a big loss to the club, and could potentially piss off Ryde-Eastwood as a sponsor (who kick in a fair bit of cash through the lower grades).

I would think that since Mayer left, the club has realised that all club coaches should be in full-time roles. In fact all the successful clubs have full-time support staff everywhere. I don't see JT shoring up his position at all, in fact it is a common sense move. All the coaching staff must be on the same wave length but how can that be done successfully when some are working elsewhere most of the time?

Sensible move by JT or whoever was involved.

I don't believe there is one Geo. usually when a 'report' is tagged this way it means it's fictitious.

You're right Jirskyr. He is very average. Talks a lot of dribble and i just can't stand the sound of his voice either.

The perception was that he was not totally committed to the WT coaching role. The players may have learned from him but in the modern game he came across as only mildly interested. Paul Fletcher on the other hand seemed to really support and feel for the NSW Cup side, as poor as they were this season. While some doubt his ability, Taylor is certainly totally committed to WT. Noddy never came across that way.

The main problem with losing Kimmorley is that Mat Head has signed with the Dragons to coach NYC. A lot of the players seemingly didn't really get on well with Kimmorley and the damage he did the team by spruiking our best players to other clubs in the media was a disgrace.

Balmain Boy,the race horse, won at Warwick Farm last Monday,i had a small wager at 15.1 so very happy, gets back some of the money i lost on Footy Tab choosing the Tigers every week.

I thought Kimmorley was OK but the Club is just a festering mess at the moment, starting from scratch is probaly a good move in the long term.News yesterday that Ian Wright is going to court re Council & the Balmain Leagues Club site and that Balmain won't be able to meet its NRL commitments next year, even bigger mess on our side of the JV.

Do me a favour and let me know next time you happen to see the horse listed for an upcoming race, i'll put a few bucks on too!

Kimmorley did seem to improve the defence for the u20s, which is no small feat, but in general the game plan of 4-5 hit ups then get the ball to Martin really didn't suit our boys well at all. His game plans didn't use the backs whatsoever, its just that our forwards made decent metres so it didn't always look a hopeless plan. But at that level anyone who runs hard makes metres, but there was just no variety and our backs just never got a chance.

Will do,i'm not connected with it in any way just noticed it running and had a few $ on,jumped and led all the way except for being headed by the Fav. for a few strides in the straight but kicked back to win…

Willie Peters in as new u20s coach apparently - http://rugbyleagueweek.com.au/peters-set-sign-tigers/

WESTS Tigers are set to sign former South Sydney halfback Willie Peters as their Holden Cup coach for next season.
\
\
\
\
Peters, who has an impressive coaching record in Souths’ junior league, coaching the SG Ball team to the finals this season.
>
He will replace Brett Kimmorley, who parted company with the Tigers last week.
>
Peters is expected to bring several promising Souths youngsters with him to Concord to work under Jason Taylor at the Tigers.
>
Peters, a former Souths first grade halfback, has also worked for the Bunnies in marketing in recent years.
