Koro in talks with storm

Where there's smoke there's usually fire and Koro will probably move on at the end of this season. Whether it's because of cap pressures or a lack of commitment to him by the club, I think it's a pity because he's a real talent and crowd pleaser. I remember, in one of his first games, he scored a hat trick. One of the tries involved a step, some power running and a fend, all in quick succession. On top of this, he is excellent at taking the pressure of the forwards with his hard, powerful running out of dummy half. He might be questionable in defense and under the high ball but so is Uate and he holds a regular first grade place! Koro is young and I can't believe that a player of his talent can't be taught to tackle or catch. I don't blame him for moving on when his excellent form is ignored and he sees players such as Anasta keep their place in first grade with a fraction of his skill set.

Just hope koro stays. Yeah his defence needs addressing but isn't that what the coaches are paid for to get in order. Koro has that x factor that the team really needs. Something that a certain couple of embarrassing over the hill hacks just do not have. Deft kicks from brooks for either teddy or koro adds a new dimension to the tigers attack that would give any opposition problems. Cmon potter put aside your fears or any personal gripes and do whats best for the team. Pick and stick with speed and skill not hasbeens

Koro has what you can't teach. Sign him up ASAP, put him on the wing in 1sts & if you're not gonna drop Anasta then for God's sake give Brooks a license to terrorise both sides of the ruck & bring our speedsters into the game!!

Hello - we are letting him go.

He is not trying to leave us.

I'll take the has beens thanks and let the "human defence lapse" go

Potter would pick him if there weren't issues

Obviously he either wants Koroibete to continue working on his defensive issues and his problems under the high ball for a bit longer or he is concerned with making too many changes to the side to include Koroibete

I understand not making changes to a winning side but our side at the moment needs a lot of changes.

I have watched the last 2-3 NSW cup games, whatever Koroibete has been asked to do he surely must have ticked all the boxes in the games I have watched. If you drop a guy to go work on his game and his kills it you have to bring him back. The other NSW cup players will watch and say this guy is performing at a level far above this competition and can't still get a run. It would de-motivate the other NSW cup players.

The fact is on current form Koroibete is a far superior winger to Nofo but for some reason can't get picked.

The main change that has to happen at NRL is to get a new #6, Braith is not good enough to play that position in the NRL anymore.

i personally dont know what we are paying lawrence and at the time of his signing, i barely remember anyone complaining about how much we are paying for him.

all long term signings have their own risks and rewards. brooks/moses have been signed up for 4 years and who is to know that they wont suffer an injury like that and play like busted for the majority of their contracts?

sheens and humphreys made A LOT of wrong decisions but lawrence wasnt one of them. he was suppossed to be the next captain.

I recall the Majority screaming for him to be resigned.
He will come good, still very young.

PS - This is the same at all clubs, Player / Man management isn't an a skill as it is so reliant on luck (Injurywise)

I have a feeling he has already agreed to terms with another club but they are waiting until post June 30 to announce it. Our loss. I would like to see us keep him.

I have heard he has a poor attitude to training etc.

And yes, you look at the problems in this team and they were all Sheens/Humphreys decisions - Moltzen, Lawrence, Anasta.

Smith to Cronk, second man play to Slater with a cut out to Koro = WOW!! He'll run in 20+ tries a season down there!! Throw in Cronks kicking game and Bellyache is salivating!! lol

If true we are morons. I'm not his biggest fan but id be damned if he's not better, cheaper and younger than Lawrence. Offload him instead of koroibete FFS.

on the face of it a bad move from the tigers letting him go, which is bloody annoying. koro will only get better, unlike the two hacks in our current backline. I really do not understand how two players like koro amd mr T can be off loaded when it is so obvious that there are glaring attacking deficiencies in f/g.

good luck koro, I hope you smash it at the storm.

Not surprised at all as the club has had the "for sale sign" on him for a while now. Love to know the clubs reasoning behind this as for the majority of us see Koro as a rough diamond waiting to be polished

It must be connected to Tedesco's contract you would think, if not its just plain madness and you would at least keep him to the end of the season and use his talents.

Looking forward to the clubs usual media release wishing him all the best etc
