Wests Tigers winger Marika Koroibete has returned to training after starring for Fiji in the World Cup.
Koroibete looked to have lost none of his trademark pace and athleticism in the off-season.

my GOD does he look fast!!

i think he's gonna push out nofo or richards to centre to be honest. I felt his defence/high ball was much improved after the one or two shockers he had early on in '13 but he didnt get a good chance to display it due to injury.

and he only confirmed that in RLWC; put up good shows in defence in almost every game. Including the semi where aus smashed fiji, from memory majority of tries were scored on the other side.

Koroibete looked pretty sharp considering he's had a few weeks off, give him a couple of weeks and he'll be a bit sharper for sure. The other thing I noticed in the video clip was Kurtis Rowe, he looks to have put on a lot of muscle and also looked to have kept his pace.

His English has improved to where he can hold a conversation. Next stop, the world!

Jks but I think I heard him mention that he was training at centre and it looked that way there a bit? He'd be dynamic in the centres with some practice. I could see him cutting people in half jamming in on them.

You can't tell me that with Brooks giving this guy decent service that he won't carve up a few teams this year. Looked like the video was on fast forward for a few of the runs he made. Incredible pace.

To be honest i think he runs so fast that sometimes he can't stop mid run to catch the ball lol!

Hopefully they will putting the ball out in front of him so he just keeps on keeping on

I'm really hoping we can find spots for all of koro, Nofo, Simona & teddy in our starting backline. Assuming they can get their defence right, they could potentially make up one of the most dangerous backlines in the comp.

Hopefully Richards & Lawrence will kick on as well & give potter a real selection "headache"

Just watched the Cory Paterson interview on the Tigers website. Had brief footage of him training at left backrow with Lawrence and Richards outside him. Makes me thing Simona and Nofa will be the other side, with Koroibete to fill in where needed.

Can you imagine Simona and Koro on the same side. Lightning quick

It's the off-season, they are probably trying out a few different combinations. But that seems like the most likely way the back line will line up.

just speculating, but wouldnt it be better to have experience with inexperience?

so, simona with richards and lawrence with nofo?

i doubt a brief footage of training confirms anything. by that logic we can expect koro to play centres since there was footage of him doing that.

As long as they know each others games and form a good combination it's fine. Look at Foran and DCE

Maybe not the best example. They are a good pairing, but as halves, the most time they spend next to each other is at an attacking scrum or the occasional set play.

They mot not be 'next to each other' but they still link with each other, there might be a catch-and-pass middle man, but much of Manly's attack is based around their combination

No argument from me there. I probably should have spelt out the lack of combination in defence aspect as well

A fair bit if time on the sidelines watching and learning about the game surely would have helped too.
And training under a different approach which I'm sure every coach would have, for Fiji in the wc would help.
He's obviously an athlete, but his knowledge of the game last year was stretched at times.
