It has been nice that the club hasn't been in the headlines this season. Well, that's over. Hope this doesn't derail our season, just as things were starting to look up. Big challenge ahead for Benji.

The club needs to draw the line in the sand and send a message like Bennett did to Hodges all those years ago.
Send him straight to NSW Cup for the rest of this season and next season. No release, no permission to negotiate for an early release in the offseason. Stick AD at 5/8 and Naden into the centres until Latu has recovered.
Why should we continue his development in first grade over the next two seasons just so some other club can reap the benefits?
The club has bent over backwards for this arrogant little turd and didn’t even have the courtesy to review the offer. It’s a slap in the face to the club.

A kick in the guts to the coach who against many promoted him to FG when others said he wasn't ready raised his profile and given him license to play his natural game and no doubt was on board to offer him the biggest monetary contract for a 19 year old in history.
To not even consider the offer really don't think he should be lining up next to the others in FG anymore he really is not that worthy.

Yeah hel play 100% every game. Keep him there this year and see what happens next year. Tbh a couple more recruits and we will be a top 8 team. Having him here could help have a crack.

I will be glad to get rid of the money hungry grub, but situations like this would not occur if the NRL had the balls to prevent clubs being put in this position by unscrupulous players, parents and managers
I actually agree with this man . The entitlement is pretty outrageous from Galvin and his management . He’s had the red carpet treatment and it’s still not good enough . The bad message it sends the rest of the team re. What Bateman was talking about last year ( as much as Bateman is a dickhead , so it’s an unreliable messenger) , that’s what could derail the club . Not Galvin re-signing .
with Naden back I would honestly consider dropping him . Because if I was his teammate , Id definitely be looking at him sideways , and trying to mess him up in the wrestling drills

If the show goes on- we win games, and nobody makes a thing of it- there will be noise.
But not as much as dropping him to KOE & not getting results.
I think more than 50% of the population will understand players moving on. If the club can show backbone here & carry on performing professionally- winning will cure all.
What we need is for Latu to out play Galvin.

Id say the request for the early release will be on again. Lachy and his family are use to be idolised not sure they will cope with the reaction by many who will have wiped him. We have been down this path before and for every action there will be a positive and or in this case a negative reaction.

Well, after yesterday's performance, Galvin is no million-dollar player. I think we may just have dodged a bullet.
Now Benji can simply pick him on form rather than trying to keep him happy prior to the once hoped for new contract signing. PLUS it means that we now have more cap $$$ to get some real talent across.

Crowd will get the chance to boo him when he runs out against Eels on Easter Monday
The club needs to have a top psychiatrist on standby to treat the inevitable mental issues he’s bound to experience being made stay here
the other option is out for a couple more weeks due to injury, in the meantime play Galvin
Yes that’s my only concern about this season.can this destabilise the team -there’s plenty of footy to go this season, none of us can fortune.tell what this news is going to bring this season but if this affects his playing performance we do have some other options too. hopefully.🙏

If a player isn't committed to the Club and his team mates and fans then drop him to reserves immediately, no detailed explanation is needed.
That includes no more training with the first grade squad whatsoever and no chance of returning to first grade even with injuries.
To see the positive character of players such as Adam Douhie and the fight he continually shows to play in this team in the face of adversity or the way Pole committed when he could have left for greener pastures is the type of character a club and coach must prioritise.
