I hear you.Appreciate the explanation from your perspective.
Mine is I just cannot forgive the back-handed way they have tried thus far to get the club to discipline/ sack/ move on Galvin.
If it was just a matter of he declared he's always wanted to play for X, I'd be upset but wouldn't feel the way I do.
The thought crossed my mind too, but I don't think Galvin could openly come out and say "I want to play for Parra", even if he's thinking it, especially if the talk is true that a deal has already been done behind closed doors.
IMO the "Development" quotes were just the excuse they are using, because he can't say "I want to play for parra".
The blowback from the development comments is where everything kicked off, and you are right, his management team tried to manipulate the situation to get their desired outcome. It hasn't been great.
But there are a lot of unknowns. Maybe Gavlin genuinely want to be coached under Ryles who served his apprenticeship under Bellamy vs Benji who has 1 season under his belt and no prior coaching experience. Maybe he thinks with the likes of Moses and Iongi, they can take his boyhood club to a premiership.
I don't necessarily think its the right call for the Tigers, maybe not even for Galvin himself. But what else can we do now but plan for the future and invest in Latu. Maybe he becomes the next Katoa before we know it.
There is a chance that this situation doesn't work out too bad for us after all...
