OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

If he's going to go I'd totally understand them grabbing him for next season, but why this year and risk destabilising this year, more than likely it'll be fine, just a strange choice.
Yea I don’t get it . I mean our club is epitome of fragile when it comes to team harmony and culture . When everything is good in the locker room we can pull out a few wins . When there’s 1 or 2 boys in there who don’t want to be there , our season can fall apart .
Maybe they’re banking on the idea that their players are more resilient than that , but in an environment where Monday-Friday you’re battling with your squad members to get announced for the weekend game 1-17 , to then battle another team 1-17 going through the same cycle , that mid week battle / rivalry / competition can fall apart in a second , if the players think one guy has a saloon passage to a jersey , especially if it’s opining he air if they deserve it or not .
The moment he plays shit , and will , probably almost immediately , there’s going to be some bitching going on . If only whispers of it in the corridors rather than flat out in their private homes .
It’s too cut throat of an environment , and too competitive for it not too . These guys are wound up real tight. It doesn’t take much to let loose .

Freddie is a great judge.
He is one of the only people about that has experienced what Galvin is going through. Schoolboy prodigy entering first grade young and left the club that groomed him to chase fame and fortune elsewhere.
Won premierships, SOO series, World Cups, Test series, captained everything, won all the awards, is in the hall of fame, coached first grade and NSW and is considered a strong chance of one day being awarded immortal status. He has also remained in and around the sport as a commentator and expert for the better part of 2 decades.
Not to go too far into conspiracy land but he also is very deferential to Gould going back to when Gould coached him at the Roosters. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch that Gould pushed for his inclusion and made it known to Galvin that he was getting such opportunity because of his connections.

Yet you reply to every one of my posts i quote you

Might be worth googling the meaning of irrelevant
I enjoy debating ideas.
You quite often take a very different stance on matters to me and provide the opportunity for engagement.

Who said Freddie is a great judge? You? Where’s your evidence?

Only Freddie experienced what Galvin is going through? Heaps of players left their junior clubs.

Flawed argument.

Other issue I see is, he has threatened the Tigers with legal action in regards to bullying. Whether we are guilty iv no idea, I can't imagine his teammates at the Dogs would want to walk on eggshells around him, if his Chrighton needs to give him a spray will he get special treatment so he doesn't feel bullied. I just can't see how adding that to your locker room can be a good thing. Main thing is it's not our problem anymore. It might be sunshine and lollipops for him at the Bulldogs but if they're building a team based on accountability and standards how can not a few of the players there atm not have their nose out of joint because one of their mates isn't in the starting side anymore. I'm really interested to see how it plays out, though like I said earlier I expect it to go smoothly, though there is massive potential there for the squad to become destabilised.

I don't get why everyone is so worked up about Gus.

Sure he lied in the media and so what? If it was just about saying whatever you want in the media, the Dogs would have Haas, Cleary, Grant etc.

End of the day we created an environment Galvin was uncomfortable in and he's chosen to go to a team that he thinks he will do his best in. Doesn't really have much do with Gus' antics in the media. If Galvin wanted to stay, he would've.

So because you say he wasn’t owned, he wasn’t?

Typical you thinking you know everything and are the voice of reason.

In the limited time he had for the segment, Chammas smashed him. Just because he never provided dates, Chammas still made references to things Gould has said - and you know it.

I’m not going to get in to one of your words like I watched you the other day with whoever it was. That was pathetic - AND hilarious to watch.

The Forum knows I’m right - ie. Gould was shown up last night.
Even if he was “owned”, what’s it going to amount to. This story is going to blow over in a couple of weeks and Gus will be out of the spotlight.

It’s the principle around the conflict of interest. If you’re comfortable with that than that’s ok.

I think it’s funny more than anything. He’s a manipulative weasel and it’s finally being talked about in the media.

Galvins choice but what other clubs GMs are publically pitching to another clubs "best" junior that they want to retain, and using their presence as a commentator to do so?
Answer - no one.

Dazza ,I would generally agree about agents and greed. In this case IM and LG rejected Tigers hugh offer thus resulting IM losing a large amount in commission.
Sure in this particular case but I am talking and venting about generalities...
