OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I'm pretty sure his mother probably said it as a bit of a joke, but you would have to think that there might be a bit of history behind it.

This bloke is kidding himself. He honestly thinks that we believe hes got the shits because WTs have brought players that are bloking his pathway. Sorry Lachy who's blocked your pathway? You've had the red carpet rolled out for you. You just want to win straight away. Hope Richo stays strong on this 1 and makes him stay.

The use of the word "unwavering" suggests an orchestrated campaign to overburden WTs' administrative processes and so wear down the club to obtain a release. Anasta's use of "take pride in the way I handle my players" certainly is a backhander at Galvin's manager. I don't like to be critical of families but I know my father and mother would expect me to honour a contract. Has the club sought legal advice with regards to "unwavering" as at some point some kind of relief from this behaviour should be available in fulfillment of Galvin's binding contract eg no better example is Luai and Penrtih expecting him to fulfill his contract with no early release.

@paw
This is what happens when the child is the parents Meal Ticket. The Club has gone over and above for this kid, and he's only 18. Embarrassing.

It is very sad and I am comfortable in the knowledge the club has done everything to meet his and his parent's demands. The comment from Riccio that it is not to do with money is obscuration. There is a need for clarity and transparency on this matter. The smug comments from some in the media and this player's manager are sickening.

the dad is a stage dad I am telling you living his dreams and meal ticket off lachlan. I don't know them directly but I know people that do and they always had eyes for the bigger teams.
He can go to a stronger team after he fulfills the remaining 2 plus years of his contract at current rate. I guess the team that he is committed too will have to wait because it doesn't appear to be the WTs.

Richo has made himself very clear. Galvin stays for his contract... end of discussion, shut up Galvin, shut up Moses, shut up Family and shut up media. We attempt to extend his contract, if says yes, great, let's build. If he says no, we make other arrangements for when his contract is up. If that means Galvin is "blocked" at some stage in the next 2 years and has to play reserve grade then so be it. The club comes first, not a 18 year old punk who's been told he's the best his whole life.

Lots of chat about the attitude of this generation of players. Hard to put it all on a kid fresh out of school. Sounds like its coming from the parents and manager.

Funny that the guy who has clearly grown up in pretty tough circumstances, Latu, is the one saying all the right things. Love his comments earlier this year.

This is just going to end up with Galvin playing in the lower grades for the last 2 years.

Stuff them. We're no longer a doormat. He's only in the position now because he's at the Tigers, otherwise would still be a nobody.

Put latu or doueigh there. Galvin can go back to kids grade or Reggie's until that attitude is trained out of him.

Latu is the one we want, Galvin can play 13 or piss off.

According to Tom Araya, Galvin increasingly likely to be marquee signing for new PNG club, and will be announced shortly after the formal announcement of them fielding a team in 2027. Moses trying to get a pay rise in the meantime, but he'll be here next year. To be fair a much better outcome than him joining the Roosters or Penrith.

He'll be here until end of 26 with his current contract. If he wants out now, there is another club already. Somehow I don't envisage a new PNG team being the family's idea of a stronger club.

Tom Araya knows. He's still the forum's most reliable insider.

The pathway I’d not blocked if you’re good enough.

I thought Tom Brbya always had the better information personally.
