Yeah, can't hate.Yeah I an agree he had some moments of absolute brilliance but he also made some choices he would regret.
We have to remember at the end of the game we had 2 very inexperienced half’s playing together trying to close out a game vsing tommy turbo.
Galvin and latu would be leading so much about game management at the moment
The future could possibly be bright people
sure he made some poor decisions, but the confidence to throw the passes and put up the kicks he did after the errors you mention is what makes him such an incredible prospect. only the great players have that trait.Well that’s a worry because he was very erratic, panicky and scatter gun with his ball playing tonight. I thought he tried too hard to be the hero.
Don’t get me wrong, he did some wonderful things, but he made some poor decisions…running himself into touch, the forward pass in a try scoring opportunity, some of his kicks…very desperate to impress rather than calmly icing the game.
Latu on the other hand…that guy is superbly talented and with some fine tuning could be great. His try assist for Seyfarth is the best I’ve seen from any half in this club since the days Benji was running wild.
Totally. For half the game it was a halves pairing with 25 games between Galvin and latu vs 525 games between Brooks and dce. 😄😅Quite remarkable outcome given the comparison in experience between the two sets of halves regardless of any poor decisions they made it's the good stuff that stood out and both showed what they can do.

Interesting points but I actually believe that Latu will have the 6 spot locked down this time next year, Galvin either needs to bulk up and play 13 or possibly centre. In terms of defense it is no contest between Galvin and Latu.Wonder if Latu Fainu may want to try his hand at another position, i.e centre
Perhaps he and Maksini would be our long term centres with Skelton/Turuva our wingers
Naturally when Large is ready Bula may take one of the other backline positions
I am not sure of Fainu at lock purely because of his height, however, he could be a Watson type player
Funny you say that. From a cock fan this morning.....wishful thinking on my behalf. He will be at the Rorters no doubt
Those guys can all defend strongly. If we can find a way to have him, Latu, Api, Bula and Luai on the field together we will be one of the stronger attacking teams in the comp.
The question is can we hold up defensively, we are currently the worst team in the comp defensively by a big margin.
You must have missed api's missed tackle count this yearThose guys can all defend strongly.
Just need to coordinate them better.
Api is already in the team. Im talking about bringing young blokes in at the same time. You must have missed api's missed tackle count this year
Yep... we just gotta smooth the rough edges off, and hone their skills, plenty to be done, but.... We've seen glimmers of really good footy from some of the boys. Those guys can all defend strongly.
Just need to coordinate them better.
Yes, we need to make sure their development is handled correctly. It needs to be viewed that Wests Tigers is a place to go to thrive as a footy player, not career suicide. That will happen for these guys with the right Coaching staff and players around them.Agree. It’s clear Galvin thinks he has to do it all.
It’s hard not to agree with him if you look at our side. I do think considering the year we have had it is testament to his hunger to win & he is enjoying his footy playing for us. We need that hunger to continue and become infectious with the other players.
Galvin biggest weakness is that he wants to touch the ball all the time and right now views himself as the only one that can make things happen by going to the edge all the time. He doesn’t straighten often or work the forwards over.
His strength is his communication and confidence - he does have the ability to deliver, he needs to pick his moments better. We see a big difference in players on the outside moving with him, knowing the play v when Sezar or others run the ball.
It’s easy to focus on his negatives but geez it’s hard not to enjoy watching him play & not think something is on. Most players don’t have that ability ever, Galvin has it.
Luai will be good for him I feel.
There is enough good things seen in Galvin this year that with experience, coaching and improved structure he could be a star.
Re Latu. We haven’t seen anything yet.
This kid is the real deal. I have talked about him for a while - but will let him show people his talent over the next few years.
We just need to remember these are kids being thrown into the deep end well before they normally would into a terrible losing culture & an experienced squad before then that just hasn’t delivered with a rookie coaching structure, but depsite that still show us pockets of positivity and talent, something we really haven’t seen for a while. They will make mistakes, they will be inconsistent but they will also give us hope & right now are very hungry to cement a nrl spot.
He ain't no killer when it comes to defense, Latu is. Defense wins you big games, not flash harry crap.No.
I don’t agree.
I agree latu is very very special
But galvin is fierce
He wants the ball every play and doesn’t care if he pisses off any player in our team old or young
Latu looks more “nice” on the field
Glavin doesn’t give a sh*t who you are
That’s the difference
Talent silkyness yeah latu
But galvin is a killer - you can’t coach that
You have it or you don’t
Tom Brady has it
Micheal jordan had it
It’s in their DNA - it has nothing to do with talent or skill … it’s the competitive nature
No he won't, defensively poor. He’ll play origin within 3 yrs
What makes him so good is his willingness. I always go back to Jimmy Maloney. Bloke could make 10 errors but he’d still be punching in the 80th minute. Winners win.Yeah I an agree he had some moments of absolute brilliance but he also made some choices he would regret.
