OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

TDS is the only one so far that has been brought through correctly.
He has climbed the ladder and earned his way. It is possible Kit may do so as well. Lachlan has learnt the hard way and has luckily remained injury free. Miller is a dud and Luke came through way too fast and is now copping head issues.
Yes.but signing a year 11 student to a top 30 contract?
Have a look at the dud development contracts we handed out over the same period?
These kids could have been on them and we would have been able to strengthen our top 30 with first graders.
We’ve effectively been playing with a top 25 since 2023

If after eight rounds we are still in the same or worse position and there is no improvement, Benji will be in the hot seat in a big way. I still think we are about to turn the corner, when we do there will plenty wanting to jump on the CROCODILE ROLL BUS!!!
Yeah, two months is a pretty good sample size to see if Benj can get improvement out of them. I think a new halves combination deserves that amount of time to work it out, just my own criterion.

We’ve had barely 10 genuine first graders at any one time during that period and the results show it.

That ties into my point.
We havent done things the way that works best.

He hasnt really been given a chance. there's a difference when coming off the bench as #14 vs starting week in week out in the #6 jersey.
Latu is great.
So we give him a chance when we don’t need to?
Pretty sure the coaching staff know their priorities.

LMFAO....Its nothing like that.
Are you seriously trying to compare a winger who played in the 50's and 60's with a playmaking 5/8 of the elite NRL era? Seriously? lol....
Also, Irvine had a 46.6% win rate there...double Lachy's here.
46% in a 10 game comp where there was only the top 4 and also the highest try score in history and a Kangaroo?
All I’m saying is just because the team’s not winning doesn’t mean you’re a crap player.

It happens every day.
Years ago my boss took me out for lunch as a catch-up. Whilst in there we ran into the services manager for Multiplex. He joined us and in front of my boss, started testing the waters about me jumping ship. He was joking about but was serious. Deals get done very quickly and without much fuss in certain circumstances. Younger workers are easily seduced. It’s not always the manager.
Funny you say that Tucker. I got poached from a former employer to become a sub-contractor to a major Sydney civil construction company (who's clients include Multiplex among them) over a coffee during my break. Two of their directors joined my usual coffee I had with one of their foremen and I wasn't sure what was going on until they cut to the chase.

Unfortunately after only 18 months I got a work ending injury thanks to the negligence of the main contractor (a major Melbourne based builder) on one of their sites as my working relationship with the firm I was sub-contracting to fantastic and beneficial to both parties, they were like family to me.

I know people are not going to like this, but the club need to make a call on Galvin pretty quick..

This is not going away and we are going to hear about this every single day for the whole year and that's just not fair on all the other players, the club and us fans.

People will say it's the media and not to worry about it but it's everywhere and it's just putting a downer on the game.

IMO he is nowhere near a million-dollar player and would rather lose him then pay like 1.2mil for a guy who has not proven a thing.
We let him test the market (give him a deadline of like a month) and either he extends with us or signs elsewhere.
IF he signs elsewhere like expected then we either look at a trade with that club to get something out of it or we play him in reserves and give Latu the starting 6 to see if he takes the opportunity. Not a fan of investing in a junior like him so the next team gets the rewards (different if he was a senior player that has proven himself and we didn't have a ready-made replacement).

Our season is going to derail if this is not sorted..
