OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

He and Galvin are best mates and only really hang out with each other. Id expect him to move on too.

Probably to wherever Galvin has signed
This is like the Luai and Mitch Moses connection.
I don't see Brian to'o at the tigers with luai, or Crichton, or leinu... You get my drift.

TDs also knows he isn't a 80min first grade player yet and his happy to learn his trade under API.

Watch this space, I reckon TDS resigns in the next few months.

Wow there's a lot to unpack in that SMH article. Seems odd that a young man a handful of games into his second season of top grade football thinks he's able to judge the merits of a coach who's basically been involved with the NRL for over 20 years.

There's some not overly subtle suggestions that Galvin isn't a popular figure amongst the group. Respected perhaps but not liked. Luai on the other hand has been a revelation. Not so much for his onfield performances which I would rate as solid rather than brilliant but the way he conducts himself. Pure class and the mentality of a winner. I don't think Pole clicked the like button by mistake.

Bottom line, for a newcomer Galvin is acting like a veteran who's seen it all. Here we less than 14 months on from his debut and we've had demands for playing time assurances, an alleged dressing room blow-up, release requests and now his opinion that his coach isn't up to his standards. All of this maybe be true or parts of it but the general vibe is hard to escape. Would I prefer he was staying? Of course, kid can play. But there's some troubling signs he thinks he's bigger than the team. His attitude compared to Luai, May and Turuva, is striking. Entitlement v professionalism.

To drop or not to drop.
This isn’t a sign with another club you sit out kinda thing.
There is no signing as yet, but there is a clear message that in he does not like the direction the club is heading in, lack of support for his coach and lack of interest in his halves recruit.
If, big if, if this can’t be blown over or swept under the rug it’s untenable surely?
It doesn't need to be tenable. Train with KOE and play with KOE. End of story.

100% agreed.

Likely not the Roosters, as Nick won't deal with Issac... but who knows, he still has Teddy on the books...

It's Eels or Dogs. Panthers will need a foil for Cleary and I don't think they are going to fork out millions for that with the juniors in their system.

Most likely Eels. Moses + he is a Parra junior. Which also explains why Brown left which also explains the world of Moses related hurt that club will experience in 2 years time!
Teddy changed his manager to Isaacs nemesis. At the behest of the roosters management .

Use him as we need him rather than how he wants to be used. If that means centre or second row when Fainu is fit and 5/8 when he's not, so be it. Gloves are off and there's no point trying to butter him up anymore.

Danny Weilder & Triple M reporting Galvin was mad that we brought Luai to the club. Galvin saw Latu as the long term.

I can't see that even being remotely true, i can however see Luai and a few of the poly boys not really gelling with him after his antics.

Let's just pretend for a second there is truth to it, there's no way we would be or even consider being held to ransom by a 19 yr old upstart.

Murmurings of Luai seeing more in Latu then Galvin i can actually see, Luai is asked about Galvin ad nauseum and mostly flat bats his comments.

You've been around too long and going down the rabbit hole...

Slow down 🙂

There's still a slim chance that Galvin doesn't want to leave but wants to test the market and see which coach, team and money he can play for... And if the tigers is the best option he will resign...

The tigers may have just said, "nah it doesn't work for us mate, your in or your out"

I think the club made a call on it and Galvin never said he wouldn't consider a contract after November. That's just me speculating though
Love your input mate but we made a statement saying he won't be here

It means we are moving on and once we sign a new long term permanent half/ give eight that there is no longer any room for him

That means we are now looking elsewhere and as soon as we find that person (hopefully latu) it is finalised and than is over

One less bargaining chip for him

Did Galvin expect this response from tigers?

Who knows who cares?

He was offered overs and told us to get f###ed

Enough said mate

From the SMH article

While Galvin and Luai are civil, they don’t share a close bond and Galvin is understood to have been frustrated by the impact of being asked to play second fiddle to the four-time premiership-winning playmaker.

Luai also has a high opinion of back-up five-eighth Latu Fainu, who is currently unavailable after undergoing surgery on his thumb last week.

Galvin is upset he is playing 2nd fiddle to Luai??

Hahahahahaha

On ya bike mate

.Galvin’s seed of uncertainty with the Wests Tigers dates back to his junior days at the club, when he was often used as a back-rower despite his belief he best belonged in a No.6 jersey

Those doubts about the club only intensified in the summer of 2023, when the Tigers signed Latu Fainu, Jayden Sullivan and Jarome Luai on long and lucrative deals in a move that was interpreted as a lack of faith in Galvin.

Haha how self entitled is he

I can’t see a world where Galvin is here in 2026. Club should be leveraging Galvin to improve the roster elsewhere.

If Manly want Galvin, ask for Olakau’atu
If the Roosters, ask for Wong
If the Dogs, ask for Preston
If the Eels, ask for Penisini
Penisini might actually happen . I heard he’s on the nose at the eels .

It makes me question whether he will still continue to perform or have a don’t give a shit attitude like Mitchell Moses did when he was leaving, otherwise reggies is around the corner.
