OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Ah, I gotta say it again - every time I re-read that statement I'm even more impressed

And as some have already mentioned, this was always going to be the outcome.
Anyone who didn’t see this coming has their head up their arse.
It was obvious before season 2024 began. It’s the reason he was elevated to first grade years early.

Reedy is basically an Isaac Moses mouth piece , and I’m convinced it’s the eels or manly . In fact I think it’s many . Someone on here is close friends with the brooks family , and he said Brooks has been told to look elsewhere.
Fogarty and Galvin Fogarty on 650k and Galvin on 1.3m that’s less than 2 mil for your halves . Pretty stock standard budgeting .
If your the large brothers , and manly do this , you’d be absolutely furious .

They need a halfback too... a team not many people are mentioning is Manly. A lot of Isaac Moses players, a coach who is managed by Moses and post-DCE Brooks will be 6 partnering with either Fogarty or Galvin. Manly lost latu fainu to us, they might get galvin off us
It’s manly . Brooks has been tapped on the shoulder , Moses runs the club, and would have convinced the family and used his control as leverage in negotiations .

After watching NRL 360 and seeing Reed defend it all from Galvin and moses, he is in the know and he thinks Galvin won't be a tiger next year.

This is a strategy from the Galvin camp

We need to make him play KOE all of 2026 on principle. We cannot cave in unless we get a top top top tier player.. not a medicore semi ok player... Someone that is headline worthy... If we dont, make him stay in KOE and show we won't be pushed over.

Moses can't win this... This isn't Galvin anymore, it's Moses.
Yes agreed. Whoever is going to sign him needs to cough up a rep player if they want him early.
I’d then manage him back down into KOE based on performance, which won’t be hard the way he is playing.

He actually is and a few of us have been saying so for awhile now.
Good riddance to this kid. He has talent but he’s also pretty shit.
That's it, isn't it...

I'm in two minds.
I'm  somewhat happy because it's sorted and we have cash to spend elsewhere.
But also, upset, because he will likely go on and have success elsewhere.

Hopefully we continue our wins, of coming out on top, ala : lose Stefano, gain Terrell.

Jesus that’s a recipe for disaster … a veteran halfback who’s made finals many times gets half of what the overhyped ball hog gets?
Hey man , that’s what’s reported . $$$ Moses saw that Brown deal , and it’s all over red rover . 10 years 14 mil , 6% commish , that’s a cheeky hundred grand a year for what ?

Originally if you told me Galvin was leaving I’d be distraught, I still am slightly if I’m being perfectly honest but not at the level I thought I would be.

I think Lachlan has showed his true colours and ever since he requested a release last year I’ve been really vocal that I think he’s gone. But it’s not the fact he’s gone, it’s more so how it has been handled which has been incredibly disrespectful to all of the fans, players, coaches and club itself.

Benji gave this kid his debut fresh out of high school after all the noise and expectation was our boom signing Latu was going to get the nod.

Benji saw something in him others didn’t, not one of the other 16 clubs would’ve given him his debut last year, then after 2-3 games of losing he publicly comes out demanding a release…..After conversations with Galvin, he retracts the release and confirms he’ll be staying at the club.

Benji then gives him the keys, partners him up with NSW and international representative in Jarome Luai coming off winning 4 straight rings as the right hand man to Cleary. He also brings in arguably a top 3 prop in the NRL with Terrell May along with the platform we already have.

To add to this, Benji vocally promotes Lachlan to play his natural game and take the line on giving him the freedom to play eyes up football, whilst other coaches would limit and try restrict that and all of a sudden we’re winning games and currently holding a top 8 position with his football flourishing getting all the praise. But that’s not good enough for him apparently.

If you told any young 6 who likes to take the game on and play off the cuff, that they’ll be getting mentored by Benji they’d be over the moon, but to 19 year old Galvin it’s not good enough.

He’s laying the platform to give this kid the key to castle and he disrespects him and claims the reason he’s leaving is purely because of…. Benji?

The team identity is strong, I’m at the mindset of giving this entitled kid the boot and let him root in reserve grade until 2027. Give Latu the 6 jersey and see what we can do, he can have a front row seat to what we’re building.

In Richo and Benji we trust.

I cant see anyone offering more than $1m/season, so we are the highest bidder
Actually it was revealed on 360 this evening that our last offer was 6ml over 5yrs.
No other club is going to come close to our offer.

Just watch, I reckon he has already signed with another club, and they will say he came to there club for less because he wants to win a Grand Final.
