OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Moses putting the pieces in place to make it an untenable situation for Galvin to see out the remaining of his contract. Just wait for it, pretty soon it will be Galvins mental health is an issue due to the situation.
If he pulls the mental health card than he can sit out the rest of his contract to get his head right, no sorry for you deals this crap always seems to reoccur with his peckerneck manager, don't fall for it Tigers.

The simple truth is Galvin has no faith in his coach’s ability. In discussions with the club over the past week, the boom five-eighth’s camp told Wests Tigers powerbrokers Galvin didn’t believe he would develop to become the player he wanted to be under Marshall’s coaching.
Hmm so one of the greatest 5/8ths of the modern era and the guy that handed you your debut despite all the nay-sayers, and had utmost confidence in your ability to get the job done despite the tender age and despite some decent halves depth at the club... nah he can't coach and you won't improve as a player, despite the improvements already since junior footy.

Righto jog on son.

All this hype is media stuff, you don't drop him or get hysterical and punish him. I agree with moving him out of 5/8 because he's too erratic now and it's not worth sticking with it, but I'd definitely have him somewhere in the 17 and probably at centre.

Players understand it's a business, luai got on with winning a premiership at Penrith last year, DCE isn't playing any less quality even though he's leaving under acrimonious circumstances. They'll get on with playing.

If Galvin starts to drop in form or creates drama you just drop him. This isn't a crisis, or a mess, a player has just decided to go for more money elsewhere...all good, let's get back to footy.

The one thing I don't think we can do is release him. His whole intent will be to get another club next year to earn big dollars. If we let him go, we continue to show we're a pushover club who isn't serious.
Imo dce' & Haas' form has dropped a lot since their futures have been.
played out in the media

Pole was chased by Melbourne and still stayed loyal. The man has absolutely right to be filthy at this wet noodle taking our club for a ride

Don’t like the smiling bs either, I think if he does end up lining for us he’ll be boo’d heavily
On 360, they mentioned a few players who had spoken out about Galvin opinion of benji , I heard pole and may were two that were not happy with him

From the SMH article

While Galvin and Luai are civil, they don’t share a close bond and Galvin is understood to have been frustrated by the impact of being asked to play second fiddle to the four-time premiership-winning playmaker.

Luai also has a high opinion of back-up five-eighth Latu Fainu, who is currently unavailable after undergoing surgery on his thumb last week.

Galvin is upset he is playing 2nd fiddle to Luai??

Hahahahahaha

On ya bike mate
He's lucky he's not 4th fiddle to Luai.

Yes Gus was at the Roosters when Fittler moved. Biggest move of the Super League War and ended up being the real making of the Roosters success story after that. Nick Politis had become Chairman just 3 years earlier.

Politis, Fittler and Gould were key ARL figures along with Bozo, and were handsomely rewarded for their loyalty to the ARL. Transformed the Roosters' fortunes for decades.
Interesting...

Thanks @jirskyr

why is it always with us that we cannot handle players properly?

Do we just hire crap humans like Aloiai, Matto, Mitch, Bateman etc or we turn them into shit people, or that we just don't know how to manage players?

This is going to be discussed ad nauseam all week, just when I was getting my hopes up of actually having our team in the Top 8.

Just over always having stupid drama at this club.
You have to win a lot to avoid these problems.

Clubs that don't win a lot, they all have these problems. Look at Eels, Dragons, Manly, Raiders, Titans... they all have issues with recruitment and retention, being knocked back, going through too many coaches etc.

Only a handful of clubs have the luxury of picking and choosing their players and coaches.

DCE and Luai are established players.
If reports are true, Galvin is upset playing 2nd fiddle to Luai. He isnt professional. He's a rookie.

Yep I recon it feels, smells and tastes like the Gould …. Buldogs recruitment storyline.

I am somewhat relieved that we didn’t cough up that sort of money on potential alone. He isn’t Daley, Fittler or even Benji at the same age.

They all were dangerous with ball in hand and I just don’t think Galvin has the natural tools that they did. He is supremely fit and ultra competitive but I believe there are limitations to how far he will go.

Good first grader yes but elite talent? We will see.

Are you being facetious? Is that tongue in cheek ?
It is not. Unless they have served the club long and proud, then leave with mutual respect, they are dead to me.

One of the best things I ever saw in rugby league was Mika Sivo steamroll Tedesco into oblivion not long after he joined Roosters. I was so happy and Channel 9 wouldn't stop replaying it from all the angles, including that new sideline camera they had set up.

That, and the first match in Roosters colours when Tedesco dropped the ball with the line open and Tui Lolohea nailed a sideline conversion for the win. Rugby League poetry.

love the passion, I'm in the same boat.

He is missing one of the most important pieces to a 5/8's game pace, how often do you see him trying to get thru a gap only to be tackled.
If he's too slow when he's young what's he going to be like as he gets older and fills out.

Both Galvin and his family sound like they are nightmares to deal with.

Didn’t like Sheens getting the sack so demanded a release. Demanded that Galvin play first grade in his preferred position of 5/8 then had the hide to complain the club was playing him too much.

If it’s true that he had a sook over Luai playing first receiver then he’s just an arrogant, delusional, entitled brat. We don’t need cancers like that in the team.

Once Latu is fit the club should stick him in reserve grade and let him sit there.

They need a halfback too... a team not many people are mentioning is Manly. A lot of Isaac Moses players, a coach who is managed by Moses and post-DCE Brooks will be 6 partnering with either Fogarty or Galvin. Manly lost latu fainu to us, they might get galvin off us
To be honest, I don't think I'll give a shit of Galvin ends up at Manly. I'll be ropable if he ends up at the Dogs or Roosters. Not sure why I feel that way.
