OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I don’t think he or his team would have anticipated that his teammates would have told him to kick sand. Probably fully expected them to pat him on the back and say he had to do what was best for him. Extraordinary times.
Just felt with Moses involved it was always going to end up a shit show.
The good thing to come out from this is the culture and team bonding has come a long way from last season, good players looking for a move from other clubs will see this and could find the club attractive.

I don’t think it was stupid at all, it shows they care about the club and will not allow anyone including team mates to try and make us look 2nd class.
Not only does it make it known how they feel about this situation , it shows unity to the outside RL community , and really the truth . And Galvin has a huge ego , it’s hopefully giving him the kick in the balls he needs to have . He did this to himself . He broke one of the few tenants of NRL. There’s guys who beat thier wives , ex criminals , dudes who have rape charges against them , there’s all kinds of things that people will look pass in nrl locker room.
But going dog on your mates and your coach , especially in the circumstances around opportunity and the whole story … is heresy !
the boys are angry . “Don’t go jack on your mates . Don’t air your dirty laundry” go hand in hand in a footy team .
His advisors screwed him. Whether it be family or manager . The rest of the nrl , considering the amount of panthers players in a lot of these clubs , will now follow suit .
Manly have announced it already , they’ve noped out. I got the impression Gus has noped out as well , panthers have said no….. the eels will have carte Blanche on the kid , but at a significantly reduced price , as no one else in Sydney wants him . Bad job by his manager !

Holy strawman and goalpost shifting Batman.

Firstly, I literally said we keep him in reserve UNLESS we get an offer for someone like Preston or Haumole.

Secondly, Galvin is on no more than 350K which is nothing considering the cap space we already have for next year so try again.

Thirdly, sticking Galvin in the reserves does nothing to hurt the team, especially considering the senior players requested him to be taken out of first grade. So tell me how him being in reserves is the opposite of team first? And don’t tell me it’s his gameplay because you’ll all but confirm you haven’t been watching the games this season

Lastly, Moses minions have already been peppering the media with those stories about the club and Benji ever since Galvin requested a release last year so you’re going to have come up with another bullshit argument.

And no the solution is not releasing a joint statement about the two sides backing each other after what has occurred which btw is one of the dumbest ideas ever floated on this forum so congratulations
People still are mesmerised by the good things Galvin does on the field , so what he’s saying is … Galvin >>>> AD . That’s what he means. Galvin absolutely killed our attack on Sunday . It was driving me crazy . So many times he just need to straighten and feed the ball along and he decided to crab across field and run in between the 2 and 3 man defenders where the centres and edge back rower should be running . It drove me crazy to be honest .
If that’s the rest of 2025 version of Galvin , which I’m guessing he’s been told by his management to play that way to put himself in the shop window.
I’d rather luai on the left with the ball in his hands zipping around , and AD giving early ball to Toa and Bula down the right .
Galvin is the 4th best player in our spine . No matter how good he is .
He’s not better than luai , he’s not better than Bula and he’s definitely not better than Api . And only the biggest homers of all time , can say what I just said isn’t true .
People think because Galvin has the try assists that he’s all the attack , when in reality , the gameplan was setup so whoever had the ball in that situation was to make that play .
Like the Toa try . People saying it was Galvins try assist that put toa in the hole .
He literally just passed Toa the ball . Toa , changed his line and moved in and away while the ball was in flight , and wrecked Best before he caught the ball . Zero of that was Galvin . But because he passed the ball OMG …..
like half the tries we scored in previous weeks were because Luai sucked in a whole bunch of defenders gets it to the edges for Galvin or Bula to draw and pass and get the stat sheets glory . There’s 1 try I give Galvin that was all him , but I think it was coaching in the first place to point out the wings stay up and are exposed behind .
Was the kick to Luke down the edge a couple of weeks ago . Other than that , you can tell there’s game plans around who to target in defence , and and he’s just executing on those game plans . To be honest with luai there , the percentage of really 1 in 4 strike rate on taking advantage of these defensive errors , I think increase exponentially . And the right side IMO , is not like this creative masterclass , it’s giving with to Toa and Turuva and watch them work their magic .

I agree but not so much out of concern for Galvin. The point has been made beautifully and with strength by the club and the players who've come out in support of the club. But if there's any more we risk losing public opinion and giving Moses exactly what he wants i.e the mental health card.
He is a grown man who can take on 120Kg forwards, but we are worried about his mental state. Please. He created this situation and needs to learn from it for the future. the league world does nott revolve around him. A spoilt brat with a dickhead for a manager. They deserve each other and what follows.
