OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Would be great if there is a way that Galvin's future team say pays us 500k. But they don't actually pay us 500k instead their salary cap is reduced by 500k ours is increased by 500k.

They have about a million to spend now … they need to get a player back when they move on…

We definitely need
Unfortunately I don't think we could afford to wait until 1 Nov as we needed to prioritise the developemt of either him or Latu. He led to his own demise by deciding to test the market. Had he been respectful in the way he did that I think it would have been the end of the story. There are plenty of models for how to make the call - and one of the best was his halves partner and mentor.

Romey did exactly the same thing at Penrith; however, approached it in a professional and respectful manner. Even though footy is now a professional sport and more of about business than club loyalty - when you are part of a team your team mates expect loyalty to them for the duration of your contract. They are the ones in the trenches with you.

A player losing the trust of the playing group is pretty unusual and when that happens the player needs to be cut out as the animosity and disharmony affect performance. From the reaction of the players this is not a one off - he has been on the outer in the playing group for a while.
to prioritise Latu’s development, whatever that entails for his longterm placement. What I mean is Latu has been injury prone for sometime now mainly hamstring injuries. We need to still use Judas to make this happen, so that he has a great run at longterm injury free success. If that means sending Latu away first work on his hamstrings or time away from the game! Use Judas to facilitate this to happen, why we still have him. Best for Latu’s development is the key.
On a side note, if he is going to pawwa, after they as a club said he wasn’t good enough, just like they did with Moses. Is just typical of the new generation of halfwits being produced. Selective memory me thinks?!? Yet bunji us the asshole??

Rather this option we can use extra cap space on player we rather agree on a trade which can be complex

Complex or not .. try to use the leverage of getting Galvin sooner to get the acquiring team to give up a player … Im not really expecting an Origin level guy in return.. just a competent NRL level player … the Tigers have two other spots and a million dollars spare to chase others if they become available

Has he ever acted on one of your suggestions on how to manage the team ?
Never made a suggestion to him on how to manage the team.

But whats wrong with good ideas?

Tell me how my idea is flawed if so?

I also used to speak to Justin Pascoe and told him that when we released Matterson for NOTHING, that we should have a clause allowing us to sign a player at anytime in the future with an immediate release... which he ignored.

Then we sign Steff, and Parra dont release him for another year.

I told Justin, if you had that clause we couldve had steff a year earlier.

I dont see why this wouldnt be the same here.

Richo is the best administrator in the game no doubt - but everyone comes from different backgrounds.

mine is trading options on property... and that is why I put forward the concept.

No different to NFL teams trading players for like 2 or 3 draft picks, when the player they are swapping is of more value.

For us -- Galvin is of high value, in high demand, and if the club he wants to go to doesnt have a player of worth right now, that doesnt mean they wont next year or the year after.

Having a clause like this gives us optionality in the future to cherry pick their roster for what we might need at the time.

For example that extra 500k can be used for KPP, or gives us extra cash have shot at Haas. For a trade you need Tigers the opposing club and the actual player all on board plus fit under the cap.

I think after all that has come out , it’s time to clean this mess up.
Galvin not wanted in first grade , fair enough ✅
Galvin drops back to reserve grade , ✅
Galvin. NOw blocking a player coming through X
Galvin Takes a spot in reserves and tank it . X
Mental health issue will explode against Tigers Club . X
Tigers in media about Galvin only even after a win. X
Getting rid of him now shows club is in control and won’t cop crap .✅
Player swap , bring in a talent who wants to be a Tiger . ✅
Richo needs to get in front of a camera and slam Mosses and if he has a copy of the 7 point issue show it , and keep complaining the NRL. Are not helping , player managers are in control of the game ✅

My tip Galvin won’t play this week - phone calls says unwell. / Stress
Stress = you can’t touch me
Get rid of this ungrateful prick , this way his failed footballer father can live his dream via his son somewhere else , And his mother needs to be ashamed of herself for allowing daddy and dodgy mosses to create this shit storm .
Out the door he must go
Dont agree, use him for the benefit of he club. Be professional we need to keep winning. But with the future in mind.

I get it mate,,, but they could get player X anyway with all the money they already have ..,the extra $500k doesn’t change that … the issue seems to be that the players aren’t available, or want to come here

Ok ..we will have to wait and see if he acts on your advice

It's round 7.. I reckon see how the team goes the next 3 weeks without him and then make a decision, that way the club makes there point at the same time we have him in our back pocket, and if in 3 weeks time it all turns to sh.t we dust him off smack his ass and send him out there too perform for his next potential home . Of course if he looks like he's throwing game with stupid plays back to reserve grade and or trade.

We actually chat on email.

Have had multiple interactions with him.

But thanks for the insult.

Happy Easter.
Mate you weren't insulted. ' Peanut gallery ' isn't an insult. Every one understands you have the best intentions but the idea of emailing a CEO of any experience let alone a career rugby league administrator tid bits of advice is pretty funny.
Admittedly I don't know your employment background. However I'm assuming it's vastly different to Richo. Because the suggestion of having a semi permanent skeleton key to another clubs developmental roster; one I have no clue how that could be enforced As theres far too many people involved in agreeing. But secondly it is so dumb for a business that the only club that would ever do that is Tigers before Richo.

I disagree. Look at the signings in the last 12 months.

Not to mention the new CBA does not allow pre top 30 players a chance to sign with a new club until round 6 of their final contract year.

Listening to James Graham podcast he said thayyGalvin could have a case of workplaces harassment which can force him out of contract legally does Thai have any truth to it?
