Geez mate, don't tell that to the good folks that paid big $$ for their waterfront units at Rhodes and Wentworth Point.
Not all that long ago, those same addresses were Dulux and Union carbide. mmmm Heavy metal contaminants . . . . So briefly . . . the dirt in the ground at some of the sites there had to be dug up, taken to a local built conveyer belt through basically a furnace, incinerated and then trucked back to it's original site and filled the hole from whence it came. The dirt was so contaminated, this was the only way to remediate it. All the developers chipped in to build the lucifer plant . . . it was the only way they could get their biohazard ground passed.
