OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I doubt it is all in there. From what I understand the letter is just another strategy to pressure the club into acting. I’ve received them before, they don’t mean shit. Just bullyboy scare tactics.
So if they had anything solid they'd go for it, right?

Sorry @Tucker you are acting like you know what went on in the weeks, months, years before this and at the meeting itself and post. That’s ridiculous unless you have inside information. It’s all speculation, and backing the other side as smarter than ours is not warranted or needed. Till proven they placed the ace card, let’s focus on winning, and all this is noise, a letter. I hope we ignore it. Dumb legal letters should be given the air they deserve, none. Blaming Richo for the media beat up as if you would have altered reality is also a bit naive, again unless you are on the inside and privy to all discussions

@Tucker is speculating and offering opinion like everyone else. He could be right about what he's saying. As you say, we don't know.

I find his perspective thought provoking. I don't want him to be right but I can see where he's coming from in his arguments. It's of no consequence on here what arguments are made.

Why are you allowed to have opinions and I am not?
I’ve never once claimed to have inside info. This is all clearly what I think happened.
I was asked what I would have done. I explained why I would have acted a certain way as I used to be a risk manager for complex projects.
I may be completely wrong, I might be completely right. Either way, I have the right to post my opinion on an open forum. If you can’t handle that, then debate the points as others have. Resorting to attacking me shows you have nothing.

It seems clear to me what to do with Galvin.
Sit him out for the next 18 months or whatever he's got left to go on his contract.
Don't play him anywhere in Wests Tigers or lower grade teams...why should he take another player's spot who's earnt it and wants to be here.
Between him and his manager they know what they are doing. All this crap he's only a kid. If your going to get paid a million dollars a season and play with the big boys you are no longer a kid.
If he's being bullied and has mental health issues even more reason not to play him.
If he wants a release then release him with a million dollar price tag other wise just sit him out for the remainder of his contract.
This is exactly what we should do and I'm happy to lose a top 30 spot and his salary for it. Don't care now and would not want him anywhere near the club.
Making him stay away and train himself with NO games sounds fair to me.

You make your bed you lay in it..

You know for me it’s a real kick in the teeth for anyone who has actually been bullied. This kid wasn’t bullied, his ego took a hit when he realised he’s not as important as he thought he was and tomorrow the Tigers will show a TEAM will always be stronger than an individual. Lastly Benji’s a legend, keep saying how blessed we’re to have certain players, well I say we’re blessed to have him, long live the Messiah and happy Easter 🐣

This has pretty big ramifications for Galvin's career. Look at what happened to young tapine at the dogs. It seems his career is over. I think if the tigers fold and meet the demands he gets away with this move, but a big drawn out legal battle where it's probably untenable that he even play or show up to training (given its an unsafe bullying environment) and a long lay off off the field as well as future clubs not wanting to deal with such a player and manager and it becomes a whole lot messier for Galvin. Shitty situation for the club, but I think they can't back down on this.
Absolute negligence from his manager this whole situation. Kids need to learn that actions have consequences in life and often those consequences involve criticism from your peers. How you deal with that adversity is the mark of a man. Moses is teaching Galvin the wrong way to deal with setbacks in life and he’ll pay a massive price for it.

The NRL needs to sanction the manager (again).

They also need to look up the definition of bullying. Imbeciles.

Ah @Tucker where are the attacks mate?
We have been engaged in adult forum discussions. I have been a commerical lawyer for 25 years and 20 of those with my own firm. More scuffles than your average terrier. I just challenged how you reached conclusions which I didn’t agree with. I do disagree with you and I do think you are speculating and wrongly, that’s not an insult or attacking you, just opinion as you say. We’ll be right mate. Lots of feeling and speculation around a letter that as you say means nothing and should be ignored, with which I agree.

Who would they be?

Disgraceful condemning a player who has basically given the finger to the club, coach, players and fans.

These people feel betrayed....weve been through hell for 15 years and a glimmer of hope comes along....fans get their hopes up only to be flipped the bird and you find it funny

Says it all

The kid gave no one the finger. He hasn’t wanted to be here for as long as I’ve known his bloody name. He was never the saviour. He always appeared to be using us as a stepping stone.
I do give a shit and have said over and over that Bula TDS and the Fainu’s are our future…not this bloke who clearly plays for his highlights reel.
Benji isn’t a good NRL level coach yet, he’s been coaching at all levels for only 5 minutes. If his parents weren’t concerned then they’d be bad parents.
The issue is what’s happened behind the scenes with another club. Exposing that is how we get them back.

what’s also insane , is that every other generation of footy player has been able to deal with the intensity of being in a footy team. From big personalities , jealously , hazing , extreme competition for spots , testosterone fuelled culture , media and on and on … except this one . 1 law suit for bullying currently in the courts and another being threatened .
large these kids fed a bunch of lies prior to nrl . Do they not know how hard it is physically , emotionally , culturally .
It has to be that the generation above them has failed them in giving them the tools to deal with adversity . Seriously the kid is going scorched earth because he’s lost favour of the coach. That would happen 20 times a year across the nrl . Dudes would get dropped and coaches would go off them .
Of varying ages . Like what makes Galvin different ? I do not get it at all …
