OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

He also never played Origin or Aus again. One of the rare times a tigers player actually got worse after leaving. I still look back on 'the big 4' and wonder what could have been. Brooks would've actually done ok next to Moses with Squid Tedesco out the back.
Never seen a player regress to the extent Woods did. Literally ended his career floundering as a reserve grader. The funniest part is you could tell he immediately regretted his decision signing with the Dogs after they didn’t win a game for nearly two months after he signed. After he stated he was going there to win a premiership. That decision killed his playing career.

Be nice for another club, other than us, to go into free fall for once, but of course Gus won’t let that happen. Everyone in the media and the NRL either loves or is scared of Gus.
I just find it funny now apparently according to Gus it was Ciraldos and Velas decision to sign him. Gus is trying to distance himself in case it does go pear shaped. If it works out he's a genius if it's a disaster he's innocent. 🤣

I’ve heard the Moses camp are not overly happy with the Galvin camp. They orchestrated this whole ordeal for months to get him to Parra to play alongside M. Moses.

Galvin and his family had been talking to Vella and the dogs and he blindsided the Moses camp with the decision.

This is why on Friday night at the Eels game all the executives there thought they had Galvin (the Moses camp had told Parra he was going there). Cam Smith (who’s managed by IM) and Chammas even said on 100% that his preference was to go to Parra and his agent still wants him to go there.
He could still go to Eels. All that needs to be done is Dogs pull a Tigers stunt and sack Vella and/or Ciraldo soon after he signs. 😜

If you step back and look at this from a completely neutral point of view, it's absolutely staggering a player who is so young, who is way down the pecking order of being number 1 in his position has garnered so much media attention over the last 18 months. He is a dead set walking headline.
Someone made a list of players off contract at the end of 26. A lot of Origin players. Does anyone care what their intentions are?

I won't rule out Galvin backflipping on the dogs to go eels, seems like his character to do something like this.
Is there a world in which the dogs have to pull out of the process because of how this has happened?

Either way, how good is all of this:

Galvin family agitated for a release to Parra using Moses
Moses makes it happen
Galvin family changes their mind and now want to play for the dogs
Moses is left with his dick in hand after all the back deals being done with Parra
Goulds integrity is being questioned.

its a win for the tigers

It would only be for PR purposes which will blow over soon enough. They won’t pull out due to any directive from the NRL.

Man , this kid has some toxicity attached to him . 360 was 💯 all about the eels and dogs , and we didn’t even get a mention .
Apparently half the dogs spine has been told thanks but no thanks . Connective wise , that’s a top of the table spine . Especially Mahoney . He’s a grub , but that team hums through him . I can’t believe they’re pushing Mahoney out for Galvin .
Apparently he’s litterally going to walk straight into the dogs number 7….. man I can’t wait to play that team . Just run Samuela at him all game . He’s a marshmallow in defence .
I honestly no sour grapes at all think it’s legitimately 50/50 whether he will make it as a half . I can’t believe they’re doing this .
Straight up I thought Papenhuyzen when he played u20s for us was 20 times the player Galvin was and is . Fainu has shown just as much in the limited minutes he’s been on the field for us .
Like wtf is going on ? How can this kid with slightly above average talent have such a spell on the nrl that he’s derailed now 3 teams .
I feel like it’s when Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell got famous, and dudes were losing their shit . They’re not that hot! Galvin is not that hot ! Haha he honestly isn’t …
If he's going to go I'd totally understand them grabbing him for next season, but why this year and risk destabilising this year, more than likely it'll be fine, just a strange choice.

I know...its mind boggling

I see a young guy who when he first came into NRL looked right at home, like hed been playing the grade for years

Since then hes been good, often not so good...Id love the hear in depth what some of these experts can see what he'll bring in the future, Braith reckons hes a real ''footy head''...whatever that means

I guess in three years with a NRL body and the experience that comes with time hes potentially a very good player, in what position...who knows

The doggies PR looks shit as it is
They are offloading players now to accommodate an unproven 19 year old
The fans aren't happy about it
Who knows how the players react

And goulds justification is "did you expect us to win the comp at the start of the season"

So if your leading the comp after 14 rounds but no one expected you to win it, it justifies disrupting everything, because no one expected you to win at the start of the year. Ive never heard anything so stupid.

100% and he'd be loving it. He's mentioned a few times how much NRL related shows he watches like 360. Hes been headlining that for way more than warranted.

Well, unless there is some announcement in the next few hours, it will be interesting come 4pm. Benji will labeled as spineless if there’s been no announcement and he gets named.
Does he have a ready made replacement?
I suppose its going to have to be Luai 7 Doueihi 6.

It will all be forgotten about in a few weeks. The journos will move on to the next circus story (probably involving us somehow). And Galvin will be at the Dogs winning games, and the only ones still stewing will be us. Kinda like when Cleary bailed. Some outside the club saw it as a dog act, but soon found a new shiny object. And once you win 4 comps in a row, the way you left your previous club becomes ancient history. If the Dogs a win a comp (I don’t think they will, but if let’s say they do), it won’t ever be mentioned in the media again, however we’ll still be hung up about it.
If the dogs miss the top four, or bow out in the semis, you know this moment will rear its head again
The destabilising possibility.
Plenty of the journos have raised the topic, they love to be right.

The Dogs have just increased the pressure on themselves dramatically.
Id love to be a fly on the wall his first day at Dogs training meeting Sexton, Mahoney Tracey etc....and all their team mates

One of the wraps on him...and Ive heard just about every talking head (mostly ex players) state this is that he lives eats and breathes the game. Its not a job, its a passion. Add that to his desire to always be on the ball and I think thats what they mean by footyhead....a natural player, true footballer.
We havent seen bugger all of his potential here....not a good 5/8 mind you, but he'll find his position in the backrow and he'll thrive.
