OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

If we lose by 60, it doesn’t matter how many shots are put on him.
He still wins.
The only pure form of revenge is for the club to be more successful than the one he went to.
Exactly right. Dogs bundled out in straight sets this year then us finishing higher than him next year is good revenge .. 1st bit could happen but extremely unlikely on the second one

Straight sets implies they’ll still finish top 4. That’s far from a certainty with their run home over the final 5 weeks.

In an interview earlier this season Lachlan said that ppl at the club had been talking about moving him into the forwards and that he was trying to delay that as long as possible..

Given this context, to claim that his well prepared media statement calling out his development as a half "doesn't mean anything", just means you are ignoring the facts being presented to you.
I must admit I missed that one as well. Got a link by chance?

As much I hate him, I’m sure he’s tough enough to take a shot. In this day and age, I’m not sure what you would be expecting. It’s not the 80’s. You know at most all that will happen is a few players may mouth off at him. And if they are feeling really game, maybe a bit of push and shove. Then shake hands with him at FT.
It’ll be all smiles and chest bumps at full time.
Only the fans take it that seriously….mostly because they don’t have to be the ones to do it.

The Dogs forum is going off. If anything they are smarter than our fans. They have picked up on his erratic, hail mary style plays within 3 weeks which some of our fans didn't see until he signed elsewhere. If he had signed for 5 years at $1.2 million for us it would of been a horrible salary cap blunder. At the moment he is worth $300k, and I don't see his potential exceeding $700k (if that)
100%. Well said.
The vast majority of our fans refused outright to see it. They consistently made excuses for him. Ironically they are the same ones who are his loudest critics now….
Our offer was ridiculous. Richo got lucky that he rejected it because under our management he would just remain doing whatever he wanted and would not have grown into his potential.

You have admitted yourself that he was never going to stay and doesn’t have the personality of a leader.
If you see that, and others see that, then it stands to reason that the club also did?
Under this acknowledgement, the actions around his resigning did not make sense.
100% spot on, just think it was a bit of a hail Mary play to keep him at the club, I get why Richo would try it, though he was asking to be released the year prior so there was next to no chance of it working. I guess it would be kind of like a due diligence thing by the ceo. If he doesn't make an offer and never gets rejected and Galvin becomes the goat. Everyone will blame Richo for not trying.

I don't believe I've seen a player transfer causing this level of disruption to the team they went to. It's not just the losing, but it's players leaving as well.
Galvin & his team have brought it all on themselves. He wouldn’t have been such a big media story if he didn’t start asking for releases, throwing tantrums after games & Moses leaking crap to his favourites all the time.

Galvin thought that he was getting bullied at the Tigers, the poor guy has gone from the oven to the frying pan at Belmore, they're fans are alot more rabid than us. In truth, he will improve the more he plays with them, how good who really knows. His biggest problem is accepting that he's not a half if it doesn't workout, I can't see him as a halfback but Ciraldo knows much more than me and knows what he's doing. But if it doesn't work out and Ciraldo needs to have a chat to him in 2 - 3 years about moving into the forwards I think Galvin might leave for another crack elsewhere. Either that or the Dogs just get rid of him like they've been doing to the other players who havnt worked out.

Ive noticed after the penrith and broncos games the opposition players seem very friendly to him....its quite odd to see a nathan cleary almost gushing towards him....maybe theyre all grateful to him for causing this disruption

What a stupid post. "The vast majority"....like you were the only one.
And how do you know anything about Richo's deal. I reckon he knew Galvin was no good and staged the offer to get rid of him without being the one to break a contract and make Galvin/Moses look like the bad guy. Mission accomplished,
He knew what was coming, what did you know?
I'll answer that. Nothing.

LG has very high effort and energy which is a positive. I think Luai even commented he was about the fittest player he had played with. But that effort and commitment does not make up for some short comings in his game.
For mine, he is simply not quick enough to be a half and is a limited threat when running. He also lacks the required kicking game. Furthermore, he plays what he sees and doesn’t seem to be able effectively guide a team around the park and play to a structure. This both confuses his team mates and leads to low percentage plays that invariably don’t work.
I see him be a forward in future years but not sure where. I don’t think 13 suits him as he wants to be creative but he probably lacks the strike of a top line back rower.
He needs to transition from school boy super star to a regular first grader for a few years and develop his game.

I think he's form will drop now that he has a contract for next year it must be so hard for him to stay focused after being treated so poorly

He mite want to go play reserve grade just to get out of the spot light
Have you seen Galvin’s face since he joined the Bulldogs? I was shocked last night. Looks like he’s featured in the Power Slap 13 tournament and come off 2nd best. That’s a face of someone who’s all of a sudden expected to tackle opposing forwards head-on! Might as well move into the forward now those boyish looks are transitioning.
At least he might stop looking at himself on the Big screen at every opportunity now.
