This thread was started in 2023. Its now 2026. Galvin is special. When he takes ownership of his life - this 3 years thus far will be substantiated or otherwise its the biggest hoax yet seen in the NRL. Either way - it's galvanised you guys. Well, the the ones in particularly who keep bringing this thread back to life as a result of unhappiness, vendetta, turmoil in their life cause their own life is shite or they just hate others being successful- so they want to bring everyone else down with them. Miserable bahh - star 🌟 duds. You got a win. Ya still not happy.

The Knights player was very lucky he didnt sustain an injury. Should have got a week considering its his 3rd charge on that offence in just over 2 years

And the most important part of the Hip drop is landing on the players legs

Prior charges only last 12 months so 2 years ago does not matter. I assume he got the loading from last week but grade 1 the loading is merely a bigger fine rather than a suspension until there is multiple offences of the same nature with a 12 month period.
Whilst it was a hip drop not sure what you define as 'classic'. Grade 1 looks appropriate due to minimal force. Galvins legs were on the ground before his hip came down on Crocker's legs. Compare that to Kenny's tackle where his hip makes contact with Iongi's legs before his own legs take some of his body weight.

This thread would have been dead and buried six months ago if Galvin had handled his exit with respect for the people who had helped him. Sadly he bad mouthed the coach and it would appear his team mates. This left a bad taste in most people’s mouths who now thrive on every poor performance he makes. I would imagine this thread will go on for a lot longer

It changed a few years back to the current system because people were upset about seeing players miss games due to relatively minor (grade 1) infringements. It's one of those topics where the NRL can't win due to the varied opinions of the fans.
I do think to some extent Galvin does have some technique/contact issues resulting in him being more likely to commit a hip drop. I also think fine sufficient for the current charge.

He is getting paid ten times more than his output. Not saying he is not trying, but when you’re being paid more than 75% of your team mates there is an expectation you can deliver and make a major contribution to your team. At present there is effort but it’s not producing anything for his team and that’s what he is being paid to do

and as a supporter of the game who watches every game and spends his money on game day and Keto, its a right that we have. If people dont like it, STIFF. Handle yourself with more dignity next time and be an example to others. The disrespect for club legend Benji Marshall was next level disrespectful. To say he couldn't learn from one of the best # 6 to play the game in the modern era etc. anyway, I will stop there. But if we enjoy watching him ruin the dogs season as he did to us, good for us.

The funny thing is, Galvin could have been a cult hero here. We were coming from a low base and many of us were willing to give him the time he needed to develop and grow into the role - Benji too.
