Maybe he is one of those parents who are trying to live there life in the kids footsteps because they see themselve as a failure and have had an underwhelming life and just want some life experiences

Quite possible.
He's definitely been given some poor advice from somewhere. I'm glad he was though.

I never get that stat. Sure, there needs to be level of effort, but the real stat is meters per run - how effective you are. A large number of meters can just mean you never pass.

Just like when someone gets an intercept and runs 80 metres,
There stats look good.
A coach should be able to make a judgement on any players form why watching the game live, and a replay the day after without been given a list of useless stats.

The real stat is what your teammates and coaches think about you. He's burned 2 before even playing 50 games in the NRL.

He will probably mature as he gets older but he'll always be a prick in my eyes.

Galvin is not a Halfback, he is not a 5/8, nor is he a lock. Galvin still needs to play Flegg, then Koe Cup he is about 18 months short of experience. There is no room for him to grow and make mistakes, because the hype train went to overdrive to quickly. Newcastle attacked Galvin and his game got exposed badly.

Get those stats up BUDDY!!!! meanwhile teams are backing themselves to get the points to win the game .EXACTLY how teams gameplanned Hastings. Get those 100 touches a game my guy ..and absolutely kill your teams attack.

Very ironic that he moved to get better development and now he looks over-coached and has lost his natural instincts.

Looking at our current side. One thing I am noticing is you have seen people fit their roles.
AD, the forever hard to place has staked a claim on Halfback. Jock too is clearly a halfback.
Makasini, Center.
Samuela/KPP clearly belong at 2RF.
Twal really earning Lock.

The funny thing is, Galvin could have been a cult hero here. We were coming from a low base and many of us were willing to give him the time he needed to develop and grow into the role - Benji too.

Same as Woods. If he stayed he would have been a Tigers icon, instead he ended up a mercinary who didnt go on to much more than what he already had at tge Tigers. Another cautionary tale. One common thread is Isaac Moses, eventually the N.R.L world will work out that guy is a myth who does whatever he nerds to, to make some coin. Iv no doubt he knows nothing about playing the game.

Just out of coincidence i have a family memeber whos a dogs supporter who had surgury yesterday at a Gold Coast hospital and Sextons mum was one of his nurses. She was saying they absolutly hate Ciraldo and Gould. Apparently they took her, her husband and Toby out to dinner to talk to them to calm things down, she said they told them that all the Galvin talk was media b.s and Toby was secure in his role as 7. They told them that its insane they would replace the 7 of the team that was in the top 4 and a team moving along comfortably. They told her thats how they could know it was just media rubbish because it doesnt make any sense. She said a few days later they signed Galvin. The family were angry they were lied to. I told my family member its incase they didnt sign Galvin, then they would lose Sexton aswell. Told him id imagine it happens all the time behind closed doors. Told him his clubs run by snakes.
