Its not just Galvin who is overhyped, its Ciraldo. Everything he has done to accommodate Galvin has sent the team backwards.
Crichton was injured today. Instead of the straight swap with Xerri, they brought on Sullivan on and pushed Burton to the centres. Burton was torn apart defending in the centres.
It looks like the Xerri move was making way to shift Burton to the centres.
And you can see it coming a mile away that Burton is the next on the chopping block.
All of this to accommodate Galvin. All for "the dynasty". They had a team to compete last year and threw it away in hope for the future. Its insane. If that happened here the forum would be calling for the coaches head.

Ciraldo may very well be a good coach but I feel he's being controlled by Gus . Either way it's good to see.
Blaming the refs , when it was purely a tackling technique thing is the first red flag a coach can show . Not the Ricky Stuart “that was bullshit “ style to gain favour or point out howlers , but the blaming the refs because your team had poor technique , and constant swinging arms in tackles .
On Galvin though … I think there’s a lot of people in the media especially ex players who are sticking the boot in now . My guess is his list about Benjis coaching would have had a lot of ex players waiting for thier time to absolutely crucify the kid . Last year when I was emotional about it , I would have said suck a fat shit , now whilst you reap what you sow , if they keep losing his DMs is going to have some serious breaches from crazy fans. I don’t envy him . But like I said . You reap what you sow .

He’s an all effort player who could develop into a very good 13 if he puts away his ego and is willing to toughen up enough to play in the middle.

I feel for him. He was exposed defensively when they shifted him today. Centre is such a specialist position in defence these days.

We won the lottery when he knocked us back and it didn’t look that way at the time.
He doesn’t threaten as a ball runner which is his biggest issue long term and he’s the only half I’ve ever seen who’s best attribute is fitness.
