OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

he needs to transition to ball playing lock but needs to put in some kg's
he should have gone to Parramatta would have been a better backline outside of Moses
Him and Moses would've been a good combo. Moses wouldn't have let him stink it up with his bad attitude. A spray would've been delivered after a couple of games of over-calling and then he'd be where Moses wanted him at all times. Look at Tallyn, he has already shaped up a little after the spray he copped last year. These kids have poor decision making and someone needs to let them know how much it hurts the team.

Instead, he went to a club with no one to guide him, and in fact he is supposed to be the one guiding everyone else. Sure, Crichton can spray him, but it doesn't really achieve much since he can't tell the halfback what positions they should get to on the field, or how to direct the play.

You’d love to think Critta’s spray was frustration boiling over regarding the position they have been reduced to. They were on top of the ladder with Sexton and Mahoney. The players must see the correlation, surely?

You've got it spot on.
He isnt a 7, he needs a 7.
It was working OK here with Luai. Galvin had it good.
Now he has to wait for Woods or Conti to get the call up which can push him to 6. He would have developed more at the Tigers imo.

I honestly believe he played his best back in the spoon year with sezer Calling the shots and doing all of the organising and kicking for him, especially when Benji then designed the game plan for all of the creativity to be with Galvin on the left with Samuela and olam

Let’s go back a nearly a year, to June last year. Fox Sports totally debasing themselves over him. We all remember his debut against Parra. It was all about him. No other player was on the field that day. You’ve never seen a propaganda machine like it. Everything from Lachy cam on the bench to Matt Johns sickening hype video. Now fast forward to observations like this

You keep believing it Pus.
What’s a fancy word for suk Pus Gus.
Only a Storm loss can make this weekend better.

I think it's about time everybody gets off this kids back. He is only 20 years of age.Give him a break..............................

Nah, only joking, pile it on ............I now support everybody playing Canterbury, yes even Parra (thats how unforgiving,i am).
lol me too,,, i used to hate watch parra and Moses since he dogged it and left us,, when dogs played parra this year I was cheering for the eels like it was a tigers game… Galvin did that .. lol 😂

Not sure he is the type to put on heaps of weight, I reckon he may have a metabolism that restricts that.
I agree,, and while I think that he will be a decent lock with all his skills and fitness he will slow a lot if he puts on weight, already he is pretty slow to,accelerate and with his frame the weight may help his defence it will definitely affect some of his other attributes,, high work rate is more difficult with extra weight on a frame like his, especially aerobic ability… it will be very difficult and tight road to walk

It's a sad day when I get as much joy out of seeing the dogs get beaten as when we win. All I want for Xmas is for Galvin to request a transfer or hear that Gus has agreed to let Galvin test the market for "the young blokes wellbeing" or for them to say "peoples expectations for this 20 year old are over the top, and the kid needs a break". But nobody is going to own up and say they all got it wrong................

Galvin is not a 7 and probably at this stage of his career a middle of the road 6 with maybe a chance of making it as a 13. He is playing with a bog average spine, so that would not be helping. He is struggling now with the hype that his management helped create but it has to be noted he is probably going better than most other Dogs players.

Gus Moses and his old man could have possibly stuffed his career for years. There has only been one winner in all of this and that’s our salary cap

The big issue is see with Galvin is how dominant he wants to be as a playmaker. He wants the ball non stop, and as a result he comes up with some very good plays, but also a lot of poor plays. I call it the Craig Field effect. Field was a terrible player in my opinion, but because he tried so hard and obviously had some talent, he would do a lot of good things, and the bad things were overlooked because he was at a struggling Souths. Once he moved to a club doing well in Manly, he was quickly found out despite making a grand final. I see similar in Galvin.

Also, there will be an ongoing problem with him as he isnt a 7, but wants to touch the ball more than anyone else, so if the Dogs bring in a young half like Woods, he will get shut out if the game by Galvin, much like Latu did whenever they were paired together.

I would have loved to see Galvin go to Parra and see him and Mitch clash. Im telling you now, Galvin would not have been able to sit back and pick his moments, he simply cant help himself, and he would have driven Moses mad.

I see him causing problems wherever he is because he is too hungry to put himself up in lights. If he changes his attitude to "I want to put my team mates up in lights", then things could change. I dont see that happening though
