OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277

And then the parents wouldn’t take Richo’s calls. Imagine if Lachy didn’t know about that side of it.
I mean it's interesting how publicly involved the parents have been in this story. I mean I wouldn't know any other nrl players parents (except obviously those who played them selves) yet for Lachly we had both parents in the news, his dad being a key part of negotiations.

Never a good sign for an adult to still have their parents so involved - imagine someone coming in for a job interview at 19 for any other form of work and bringing their dad with them

Dad wants his 6% to.

I actually don’t think it’s all that complicated.
He has been here over 3 years and during that time, he and his parents have seen the club receive
  • 3 x wooden spoons at NRL level,
  • 1 x spoon, and 2 x bottom 3 finishes at KOE level
  • Mixed results in Flegg but one of those was also a spoon.
Add to that the board in fighting, Hagi and Pascoe, 2 coaches sacked, lots of players leaving contracts early…..their mind was made up in 2023. The club threw a Hail Mary at them last year promoting him way ahead of time but the spoon finish likely sealed it. He was gone.
Nothing that’s occurred in 2025 has affected their decision. All the noise around Luai and co is just that. They found a better offer and that’s that. It’s not Benji’s or Richo’s or the player’s fault….its just the perfect storm of shit from 2022-24 that convinced them this place isn’t for them and that’s not a betrayal or snake behaviour or anything else…it’s just human nature to protect your son.

As a very stupid man once uttered…it is what it is and the club is paying for the pathetic performances it’s put in over the past 3 seasons.
99% agree but the bullying accusations & legal letters are a cheap tactic by a low-life to try to force an early release. That should worry every NRL club. The Clubs need to stand strong against those few snakes slithering about.

A couple of gems from Richardson - you can't buy players without money so I get the money first and then wait to see who comes available. Also that negs are done confidentially and only he and Benji know the targets. He is great to listen too.
Also mentioned you can’t keep a secret in rugby league
Made the comment that anti tampering doesn’t happen (assuming tongue in cheek but just a guess)

I'm puzzled by the Gould comment that there is an untenable issue that hasn't been brought to light needs to be resolved.
Firstly, what is the issue?
Secondly, if it is untenable, how can it be resolved?

It's an excuse Tucker, if it isn't the list he was recording he would have presented to Marshall to give him a chance to resolve and rectify any issue. He never did that, instead the manager went straight to Richo with it. If Galvin was really concerned with his development, he would have first gone to Marshall.
Do t know, but I reckon lil Galvin had been wining about bunji and his pond scum advised him to start writing it down.

Gould out of line as a GM from another club using his position in the media to air rumours about other clubs that could cause further disruption.

How he is allowed to get away with it is beyond my understanding.

I think we are showing other clubs how to deal with it. They accuse us, we say prove it and as long as it isn’t true, it goes away.
The only one who should be talking is Richo and that’s how it has been this week. I think we lost last week’s battle but we are well in front this week and we’ll be going into Sundays game with heads held high. As long as the Leichhardt crowd don’t get out of control, we are on top.
As for Moses, if he wants Lachie out early he has to work with the club to find compensation. If his destination club refuses to supply it, he is stuck. His window for an early exit is closing.

We’ve been saying this for a while. Gould is being allowed to do what no other club boss can do.
I think everyone needs to ignore him as there is no way of knowing whether he is telling the truth or just working the narrative to suit his agenda.
Most of what he says is self serving and usually facts after the incident. I don’t think he has much inside info, moreso just a commentator like everyone else.

Are we at 2 weeks yet?
We were willing to upgrade this year and next year by several hundred thousand each? Assuming this year would have been partly a lump sum given the contracts start in Nov, Moses has promised the family some future vision that so far is costing them at least 10k a week, and if we get to Nov 1 2025 and he's a tiger, hundreds of thousands. His commission is peanuts compared to what Galvin loses.

So I wanted us to look for a trade, but if you publicly cost a player a few hundred k by standing up to Moses you create a blueprint for all clubs going forward and you change the reputation of the club with managers. Im all for holding now, but the legal side and the slandering is going to sky-rocket because Moses knows everything above is true and will grow increasingly desperate to win.

He also was quiet forthright in saying that tigers didn’t even make the offer
To the way he said it he had inside information. I’m guessing from Moses but could be wrong
I’d say that he’s distanced bulldogs from the spotlight because of the anti tampering insinuation as how the bulldogs were perceived is his first and foremost priority

Many a helicopter dad has ruined the sporting careers of their child before it even begins. Hope this isn’t the case for Lachlan.

I hope someone has told Galvin to put the stupid smile away this weekend. If he runs out after all this, particularly to boos and smiles like he has been it's a bad look. He should be all business, determined to be the best player on the field and shut the crowd up with a steely look about him. Show the club and fans some respect and don't fake smile
