Happens all the time, there are managers notorious for doing it, basically they will get one client signed on a decent contract that a club doesn't even want, just so the manager can get him a gig somewhere, on the condition the manager helps the club land a bigger fish they want. So the manager will do everything in their power to make it happen, demand overs from a club the player might want to join, cause problems with clubs. Hide offers for the player. Sometimes the manager will get offers from clubs they know the player doesn't want to join, like us 4 years ago. They'll go to the player and say club A are offering overs, if you go you'll be paid well but won't win anything. Then they say club B is offering less but has a better set up, is more stable and I would recommend it for your career. That club being the one who helped get the first player off the managers books, the manager then does whatever they can to convince the player to sign with them. Other thing they do that's really sneaky is when Isaac Moses was suspended for the Parramatta salary cap scandal, his companies clients, while they were in negotiations with their agents talking to clubs, Moses was the one in those meetings running the negotiations, he would just use the other manager he employs for the signature. Even though he was banned. N.R.L knew, they did nothing, the clubs wernt going to complain or they'd lose access to his clients. It was a huge farce.
It’s baffling that the NRL allow player managers so much free rein. Surely it’s possible for them to stipulate that contract negotiations and offers must be made direct to the player who can opt to have a player manager present and/or forward the contract offer on for them to review. I’d wager that fewer players would be willing to break their contract if they were actually involved in the negotiations.

I'm sure I distinctly remember the N.R.L last year saying they were going to stop agents looking after players and coaches so they wouldn't stack clubs. But they didn't do anything yet.

Must have sold out.

Looked everywhere in the Roar Store for those and in the end had to settle for these instead, wasn't happy that they were $10 more at $65. 😡

They're only available at the Magpies merchandise stand at Lidcombe Oval.
I have to admit I thought it was some sort of attempted humour meme until I realised it's an actual item for sale.

Won’t happen as it’s his father who is the main reason this shit has gone the way it has , dig deep and you find out what he is like , he is a dick head who is living his dream through his kid , one of those who didn’t make it and can’t get over it
I don’t normally comment on player families but I have heard similar from mates who have played with with his father and they were not very complimentary.

It’s crazy isn’t it? Real Estate Agents must disclose every offer to their vendor. Why not the sports agent?

My mate played lower grades in RL and higher grades in RU. He is quite a few years younger than me, I think he is in his early 40’s.

But Mitchell Moses is a similar story and played some junior football with Parramatta and wanted to stay there but was let go and came to play for the Wests Tigers.

Like Galvin's father and family, Mitchell's old man is reported to be a long time Parramatta supporter.

Can you see some similarities here and understand how these things can end up happening?
didnt the same thing happen to Ryan Matterson ???
looks like eels devlopement is a horrible place to play in and they cant judge talent
seems like though the juniors from there aren't the smartest though at least twal stayed a tiger
