Lame Membership Numbers - Whats the fix?

The smartest thing that could happen as a code is to centralize the membership process through the NRL.

They have the staff and resources to deal with it

Thank God for some sanity

And then we could offer true interstate memberships that could be used NRL wise

Then the game could roll in big crowds , big dollars and clubs may even be able to support themselves :astonished:

with some teams having 3 home grounds, some having 1 etc.. it's pretty hard.

but i agree- in a competition where most fans stay loyal to their teams- your suggestion is quite possibly the best option

Just called up to renew my membership, was promised a call back within one hour. Three hours later, no call.

You would think we are overwhelmed with members or something… :wtf

Well today was the cut-off for keeping your allocated seats, and there were at least a few hundred memberships added to the counter. If you had tried a couple days ago, you may have found they had more time to help you.

You've got to be kidding me, making excuses for poor service.

They should be bending over backwards to try and sign up members.

If I didn't call back myself, I would have lost my seats. That is just piss poor.

How long does a courtesy call take even if they can't give you the help you want ?
Sounds like its more than a resourcing issue …. Sounds like some proper training in time management and dealing with the public would help. It all comes back to poor management .... They should have been planning for this months in advance.

3000 members - woopi do

Why is is not 10000 now and 20000 by kick off??

172,000 official WT face book fans … We cant even convert 10% of them to paid members by season start :frowning:

Maybe just load up with staff on the probably biggest day of member recruitment / retention of the season

Oh that's right , were broke for some unknown reason :brick:

This is one of the best original ideas I've heard on here in a while!!

We should endeavour to do this soon I reckon. Still have individual sites like we do now but they can be accessed from both the NRL and the club sites. But everything is managed by the NRL obviously. Clubs could provide easy paths for staff to go and do similar stuff at the nrl. Rather than get fired or something.

because then people can buy tickets from other clubs that are cheaper and use them at our homegrounds or vice versa. it creates a lot of programs and the system hasn't been put in place. you'd need the approval of every club and the NRL. not to mention the question of money, since you paid one club 20 bucks for the ticket but you use it at another's home ground. should that other club get the money?

So that's why you would make it a universal price across the board

And it would go both ways , you guys need to stop looking at the little picture and start looking at the big picture

And if a stadium isn't sold out , it is a win /win for that Stadium

You buy some drinks , a pie , they club makes some money from that

Even sell both clubs gear at the particular game

Extra memberships aren't going to save clubs financially , but it will help greatly

I reckon that NRL clubs would get something in the region of 100000-150000 extra members easily by doing this

You a funny man pHyR3

What Smeg said above was exactly what Knuckles and I were advocating for with making the prices the same across the board and have everything controlled by the NRL :wtf :brick:

Now you agree 😕

I alluded t almost the exact point in this comment about everything prices c

Yes, the club could definitely have done better, but why did you leave it to the last day?

Something I would like to see in future is a mixed level of membership.

I renewed yesterday but only my four game membership at Campbelltown.

Ideally it would be good to mix membership levels across our home grounds.

For example, Gold at ANZ, Silver at Campbelltown in the Eastern stand and Bronze for the hill at Leichhardt Oval.

Sorry happy,I thought you had proposed something which was a good idea but would be extremely hard to implement as everything was done club by club. Didn't realise you also wanted it centralised

I suggested that same thing at the Membership Members meeting before the game at teh SFS. Was taken on board but not no implemented.

Also the new Membership web portal is the standard from the NRL, its hosted by the NRL via Salesforce.com. Tigers and a few other clubs are using it now.

Another option could be multi memberships

We have a particular one where I live and you get a lifestyle membership

You get one year of a gym membership ,one year at the local movie cinema and one year at the golf club

Goes for about a $1000 , but if you took into consideration the cost of the combined memberships it would be worth well over $2200

Because I was waiting for three other people to organise their payment. Why does it matter?

Great initiatives by the NRL to link to membership sites from NRL.com as well as the whole competition thing the Aussie players are doing the with regard to membership drives.

They musta read the forum and liked our ideas

Went to sign up for Gold Claws membership for ANZ because it's close to home, but found that my kids 14 and 13 and too old for the family membership, so I emailed the club to see if there was any alternatives.
Got an email back 2 days later saying that they gone for a really low price point for ANZ so the only thing I could do was get 4 individual memberships so instead of $250 my bill would $400 so definately wont be signing up this year.

That's pretty bad, what's the difference in the seating used.

Still children, its one membership they will lose.
