Latest Coaching Rumour

The club has no choice but to find the money for an experienced coach ..the clock is ticking ,there is definite talent within the club and a few more critical signings need to be made but this window is now open for around 3 seasons only . The talk of one of the white ants getting the job is madness no respect there from the players…the talk of one of the NSWRL darlings is worrying but is very well connected.
But with any new coach and board do not think that the problems of the past will be gone....the only way this team is going to be a success is for a coach that has total control and that includes the keys to the front door and no matter what position is held the door will be opened and shown to. The job of leading the Weststigers to glory will be a very hard one and will take a very special man to accomplish this ,I just hope that person is our next coach , or we all could be looking for a new club to support.

No money for an experienced coach but we will pay a rookie coach AND a coaching director?

FFS my head is spinning.

Now it's hurting because of the Parish talk.

Relistically i think the only option that should be considered would be Griffin. Folkes for director and Griffin as head coach would be the way i would go but prying folkes away from his womens team could be harder then we think but either way griffin should be our coach next year

I'll go with this setup, although I think Taylor would be a good choice as well for coach.

The weststigers need to get away from the old boys club and or ex players links eg,Pearce, parish etc.
New board, fresh start.

Would be great, guys, but I doubt we could afford someone like Griffin - unless he's into pro bono work

Interested why so many people have such a low opinion of Matt Parish I wouldn't have thought his profile was high enough to incite that much dislike. Have mentioned prior that we have crossed paths, but have no idea about his ability to coach. Not looking for support 0not sure he is the right choice either) just wondering where all the disapproval comes from.

He coached Salford for 1-6
He coached the CQ Capras for an even worse result over a season.

Hows that for starters?

… And he has been Ricky Stuarts assistant at Parra and Raiders with outstanding results.

He must have some fans considering the assistant coach jobs he gets. I know little about him, but his coaching record is appalling. And his main backer has been Alan Jones, which is not a good sign. And he does seem a tosser (not that makes a bad coach).

One advantage of Parish is that hadley hates him so might refuse to call our games on tv.
That's definitely worth something!

The jones link balances that out to an extent though.

Taylor would be a good option… Good tactician and would be good for our halves....

You'd hate him too if he was banging your wife! How the woman stayed married to him for that long is the question..

Unless he has really changed he is not a tosser and lots of people I know who know him would back that up - just confused how you get to be assistant at SOO with two different coaches, without a great track record. Any way if they do appoint him and he struggles he is obviously going to get hammered. Tough gig

Probably just 360 guys stirring the pot. Noticed he hesitated before saying his name and Kent was egging him on. Is Kent mates with parish?

Yeah, I've never met him. Could be a top bloke in person. But his head-coaching record speaks for itself.

Wtf … If that low grub Jones has any bearing on the coaching role or anything to do with the weststigers administration that'll do me for good.
Knick off back to your cubicle gloria
