Latrell Mitchell and Connor Watson

Forget about hearsay. Strike while the irons hot. Put an offer on the table for L Mitchell. We would be nothing less than stupid not too. Would be a welcome addition at no 1\. With the addition of Matulino, Packer and go for Graham similarly as per LM now! With McQueen and TMM. Offers on the table now. Before the NRL makes changes. Plus Milne. WOW. We really could do some damage. Very unexpected in the next 12 - 24 months!

You can't approach players directly until the last year of a contract. We would have to engage the Roosters first to make an offer to Mitchell.

do you really believe that clubs and player management stick to that, if you do there's a tooth fairy too.

Why would we put in an offer for Latrell when he can't even make the starting side for his team? I think we have learnt our lesson in paying for potential. I would rather pay for someone like Brett Morris or Jack Wighton (both off contract in 2018 according to zerotackle.com). We need to get the blend right between youth and experience.

Some old hard heads, that's what Cleary did at Penrith a lot of kids and a blend of older no nonsense players.

i'd be happy with cronk OR dugan AND reynolds.

that's my expectation since we have a "war chest"

Don't think that will get you far in the Latrell Mitchell/Connor Watson thread,,

Yes I do believe that most clubs do.

Think about it Guys. Reynolds is about to re-sign so i don't think there are other choices with a brighter future.

To be honest, I dont think either of these guys are the direction we should be taking. I would be more inclined to make a play for Tyrone Roberts.

Our recruitment drive needs to be as much about talent as it is about the culture and maturity they can bring as a foundation for future success.

Dont get me wrong both Connor and Latrell are great players, but the composure Tyrone could bring would be priceless.

With all the hype around who we should get, maybe we should focus on who we can get that is better than what we have…...as they say in moneyball adapt or die...

Composure is not something Tyrone was known for at the Knights.

and Thurston wasnt known as a match winner at the dogs… While I agree with what you are saying, Roberts seems more controlled at the Titans, as if the penny has dropped. Watson and Mitchell need to learn these things themselves yet, and we dont have the time for training wheels any more.

What half has a hope in that crap knights system

Hi fellas,

Apparently Trent Robinson has had enough of Latrell Mitchell's discipline on field especially with his work ethic at training.

Heard the Roosters are shopping him around.

I think Latrell would look terrific in our colours

Yeah I'd be up for this. Would be similar to the Raiders signing Leilua - undoubted talent and you hope being arseholed by a club is the wake-up call needed.

He'll probably end up at Brisbane, though…

Would this have greater or lesser "cultural ramifications" than signing Hayne??

If we are going to recruit a bludger I'd prefer one that always had a dream of playing in a tiger's jersey.

Be interesting if he did come here to see if Cleary could get the best out of him.

If his head is right would be a great buy but would be surprised to see him let go.

May not be a good idea to be replacing one player with a bad attitude with another one even if it is in a different position, the Roosters are usually fine with working around players with attitude problems. So if they can't sort him out, we would probably struggle with that as well.
And we don't need more press magnets. It almost comes under the heading of "Potential" again

Lack of discipline and poor work ethic.. No thanks. We need some stronger characters going forward, don't need another Adam Blair.

So do I. I can understand he would be upset with the Roosters chasing Tedesco. Cleary carries with him an authority and respect which is clear to see in his press interviews. If he can bring Connor Watson and Joseph Manu with him it would be greatly appreciated.

He would have his nose out of joint with rumours that roosters have signed Tedesco. He is only 19, so plenty of time to mature. Would rather him than ferguson.
